It’s gawt dang humbling when you buy a ripped apart 440 for 100$ and the guy you bought it from wasn’t a Complete moron.. he left one bolt and tab in the pullstart! so I knew what bolts I needed and have all four tabs! He left one bolt in the shroud dog grabber so I knew the three bolts to look for! lastly he didn’t loose the crank nut! he said he never heard it run. no spark on one side. I have the pull starter system All worked out and the points were garbage but there! I filed’em and maybe just maybe I saw spark at both plugs! I don’t give a dang how far or even how you rip it apart don’t loose the :censored: hardware!

ok the race everything rides on has been cleaned. the pulley behind the starter cup for the fan installed. the starter cup is also on there tight. The flywheel nut and lockwasher are tight. Points needed a heavy filing. Insert procrastination and I’m going out to finally bolt the pullstart tight to check spark. 445D57B2-A218-45C5-B59D-01AB92F8D357.jpeg

okay, I'll bite...what is it? a 2 cylinder 4 stroke fed by 1 carb?

The car tire setup gives hella lot of tire options plus wheel adapter options...14" or 15" wheels...neat little critter there
It’s Polaris? I guess out of a snowmobile.

We have spark bust a mismatched pullstart setup. I have the handy break down rope. And some fuel mixed up hope it runs!

Wrong intake

It looks sexy in a Bright Orange 68 Belvedere with 6 inch stickers on rear of front fenders that said 440 ;), was stupid fast after we rebuilt the engine and plopped two 750 or 850 hollys on her, with a D60 LSD, Mickey Thompson Stickies, 3500 stall, reverse manual valve body...lol...( manual valve bodies...they were so to have back in the late 90's) and they worked, I wonder what they use now....,It was caged, had subframe connectors, anti-pinion climb stop mounted...it would pull the front tires and pull like hell, it was a very naked car...drivers seat only...I had to use the 8inch beach chair with right arm rest under cage door bar, while cruising..... the left was WFO :ROFLMAO:

I think I’ve already screwed it up... i pulled it with a rope and the engine seemed to get tight? i only poured a bit in the carb and pulled it a few times before it felt like it got tight. It did fire off twice. I think before I go further I’m gonna find a better pullstart and hook up a fuel system... kicking myself as I think I might have hurt the engine.

Maybe the carb was full of diet and sucked it into the cylinders I took both heads off and cleaned out the cylinders that looked fine and it’s spinning real free again. I’m not gonna do anything till I get fuel hooked up.
