Those are tig welds. Yes they are darn near perfect.

That sub is nuts. Even on that ppl point out how one weld was a bit fast. Or somebody building a large pressure vessel and all the comments are about boot prints.

My favorite part of welding is grinding.
I’m gunna have another go but outside.

I tried this indoor. The arc was bright and the joint was dark. Prolly could use a darker setting and more ambient light.

it’s kinda square in a few directions. Lol

The top of the cross tail is tilted about 3 degrees off plum - towards the front. I should just be able to make notch cuts at 27 degrees instead of the 30.

I’m not sure the joint style here… it’s a flat end going to the rounded edge. I tried to focus the heat on the rounded edge instead of end of the flat part.

I was trying to count 1,2,3 on the rounded edge then pull to the flat side for a 1 count, then back to the rounded side for another 3. Not sure if that makes sense on paper.

I was inside again but used a 100 watt indoor LED grow light - errr- shop light. I could see better.

Setting: Voltage Max, Wire Speed 8/10

T-nuts are really good if you want to protect that plywood. You can also just use normal bolts if you use t-nuts. The downside is you'd have to take apart the cushion to put the t-nuts in the upward-facing side of the plywood.

Oh, yes you can. I missed the fact that these have threads inside for a bolt. My mistake.

Well I couldn’t see again but tried some curly e’s. Looks like the bead starts “higher” on the vertical part - then falls more towards the lower part.

Finding an outlet and a short extension to go outside and be in a sunny spot that is not right in front of two neighbors patio doors is tough.

Maybe my eyes just aren’t good for welding? I’ve been pretty sensitive to bright lights in many situations besides welding.

I like my braille welding torch.
l have difficulty seeing as well. l use a bright auxilary light, it helps
l'm old and have seen some shyt, i believe that has damaged my eyes.
