ok i'm not having luck with getting a stock razor part, first off identify if its metric, or sae, this is done easly by measuring the diamiter, preferibly done with a caliper (if you don't own one buy one(super handy), try to get one that measures sae, and metric). next if iits metric, measure the threadnpitch (distance between tops of threads) be exact as possible, this measurement will prob just be a rough guesse, so try nuts near your "guess". if its sae, measure out 1" of thread and count the # of threads, tell me what these measurments are, an easier way is to buy one of these to get the measurements, http://www.homedepot.com/Tools-Hardware-Hand-Tools-Measuring-Tools-Gauges/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xpxZarzn/R-100186831/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053

Home depot has a nice section for hardware. Fastenal is always a good place to look. They have many branches and you can usually dodge shipping costs that way. Especially on small parts that are over priced in terms of shipping.

my home depot has almost no hardware. lock nuts? nope, spacers? try again, snap rings? what????, but maybe yours is better. your local hardware store should have a few of those bolt sizing charts laying round that you can use.

yeah so today i went to both lowes and home depot to get a vent so i can weld in my basement. first off it was hard to explain to them what we wanted... but finally got it.

i got a 8" in pipe vent.
said 500 cfm
turned out all it does is make a little breeze.

spent 150 bucks total including pipes...... FML

im sooooooooo pissed off.

ill be going back to return it and ill bring the axle with me to match it.

i'm pretty sure i suggested one of those, but what ever. i agree that would be ideal, on hf it says right in the description "welding fume ventilation", i'm pretty sure any leaf blower that can lift sticks and leaves up 4ft then shred them to bits will be able to handle some fumes (may need to be sealed up a bit but thats no big deal).

Yes my parents agreed to buy me the hf blower tomorrow... I already have the plumbing too.

Might be a problem the tubes are an 8" step to 6", than 6" step to 4"...

they would probably get that for me but the thing is my parents want to make the outside vent to look nice and not a duct taped tube.

oh also i welded up the stock exhaust back on the pit bike it is so quiet now.

i would use like 1ft of 8" metal vent tube, then connect that to the flexible orange tube, then connect orange tube to the blower, put a blower on a stand/ shelf/suspend from ceiling, then but one of these on the blower out put/ outside of house, use your carpentry skills to make one of these, http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xh3/R-100669691/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
or make one of these because it would look cool when you use it, http://www.homedepot.com/h_d1/N-5yc1vZ1xh3/R-100059101/h_d2/ProductDisplay?langId=-1&storeId=10051&catalogId=10053
