Allow me to explain (what I think he thinks he'll try)
commonly referred to as compressed air boost.
basically a tank that is set up to pressurize the intake.
And, if set up for refilling,
...it is set up for re-fills from more powerful air compressors like at jiffy lube.. it will be filled with 17gallons of compressed air to allow 5 second bursts of medium-amount of extra air, oh yeah, forgot to mention the jets will be bored, the cam will be torquey from medium-low range and then again at medium-to-high-ish range.
a viable (still dumb imho) solution for turbo/supercharged engines to have an additional boost-source to fill in low-rpm potholes.
it will be a big powerband once i get the correct amount of FUEL going through the mix.
An utterly stupid idea for non charged engines
If it is anything like a vehicles engine, it should be fine if i tune it very precisely. small increments in boost. once it backfires, back off some pounds.
you will have to reduce compression
The whole idea is to forcibly raise compression and gain acceleration/top speed quickly..
during normal aspiration
during normal aspiration i would change the jets.
that'll draw lots of power you'd rather have at your axle.
but say you're filling the tank at red lights only (*cough*)
lol. i will look for a small alternator in the future. either that or put this big 196cc generator i've got to recharge the tank AND power an electric motr if i had one. a motor with a really high speed gear like a 25tooth.
If you can't tell by now, i've been striving to build a car out of a kart. stability upgrdes is a must, dont worry. added length and width upgrades to the list.
Since you cannot add a blow off valve (that'll simply drain the tank to the great outdoors)
you'll have to rely on the tank valve, which will have to be reset according to the remaining tank pressure in order to keep the boost level at least somewhat linear.
There will be no blow-off valve. approximately 3 pounds of boost will always be going through the carb.i have the idle blade adjusted perfectly for it. the jets will be pre-set for a constant max of 5 at idle. upgraded brakes will be necessary. drum brakes are no longer useful for this high performance engine.
tricky to achieve electronically, nearly impossible to achieve manually...

And after all, you run you kart with an airbomb sitting right next to your head, blowing into an engine -that will NOT be set up correctly
Only way that would happen is if i added wayyyy too much combustable pressure.and i mean way too much. and also should be fine as long as i have the camshaft timed correctly as well. Good idea to bring that up. hmmmmm..i will lower my max psi from 40..to 25 for now. 25 pounds pressurizes the manifold instantly. literally instantly.

I'm not too familiar with the stuff, but someone described it like what your talking about to me...
a "boost bottle". if you mean the way Nitrous Express designed their nitrous systems, Yes. That is a partial concept of how i would like to design my power band. i dont like how they design theirs to fully spray at a certain rpm. i rather get increments of boost as i give increments of gas.The more gas i push at the pedal the more air gets pushed into the chamber for more power.
i highly recommend a high lift cam with at least a 165 duration so all combustible gases fire in the bore..not the carb.
