We'll chime in here from a normal day of doing normal things where all that I expected to happen, did.

Why exactly would one go backwards in this thread?

Well, to see this. If y'all go backwards you'll find little details like this, where our hero added stuff. In the nifty picture here, a new engine... a new... NEW... engine created something I've only seen a few times.

The goo, chocolate, texas piss, who knows.

Let's examine this. Freerunner, please answer the first question I posted (how you gonna change jets when it's running? I'm dying to know.) and now... please answer this.

Was that what came out after only running a few times? Was it new oil you started with? Was there Beer in there? If it wasn't that, what did you put in it? What is that? Where did that come from? That engine looks pretty clean, the clutch doesn't even look like it's on, or, have lube on it... it looks like it's just sitting there... I smell bullcrap.

Cast aside the fact that "no" predator will hold on very long at 8000 rpm anything... even with that nifty shopping list of yours. (I didn't see a flywheel... problem numero uno. You're about to die here)

I've gotta know.

Started, rode twice even. Wow.

Man, I'm late to this party.
All I can say is...no, I'm not gonna say anything other than like so many threatened projects before, I just want to see it run.
Now I'm going back to nailing the side rails on the worlds most fantabulous wooden go kart ever built.
After this thread I'm thinking a boost gauge is a necessity.
Fred and Barney would be proud.....

The goo, ...Yes, the rich-gas-mixed oil.

-- The way it works is.. air pressure is sent to the fuel tank and air manifold at all times. i'd call it Stoich. The only way failure could happen is if not stoich.a perfect stoimetric measurement. Or too much pressure for the cast bore? is it??

Was that what came out after only running a few times? Was it new oil you started with? SomeWhat new.

48 tooth axle sprocket, 10T clutch.

i am receiving a 48 toother today and ready to check 'er out. Even removed the gov'ner. Sure should get some clean oil though. Oh well. One good run couldn't hurt too bad.....i hope it won't hurt the internals.

How are you pressurizing the fuel tank?

With a circulation hose coming from the turbo manifold. needs to be pressurized to keep the temps down. and to resist a bigger-than-intended explosion in the bore.
Can i get any donations for an o2 sensor and an air/fuel gauge? only costs $35total for both . i have pay pal :)

i only plan to ever hit a 5800 rpm max, i think. until i start making money again.
The clutch has a lock washer to give needed spacing between the clutch and chain sprocket. i wd40 the chain sprocket and bushing every chance i get.

Your going to need to enclose the carburetor in your turbo manifold so that the pressure is equal inside and outside the carb. Otherwise, pressurizing the fuel system (your going to have to deal with the tank vent) is just going to overwhelm the carb float and flood out your engine.

This thing should take the road about the time my "2x4 Special" does.
I'm betting mine works better.
One thing I discovered building it - they make rubber bands a lot bigger then I thought.
I had to make a drill rig just to wind it up.

What about the space required for the 3 jackshafts... U know... To Make it super speedy....

Plenty of time for that. Plenty of time. That is why i am accepting all donations to this kart build. camshaft upgrade is a must.
Oh, Hey!! ...

the Free Runners tip of the day:
If you can only start your Kart without your fuel tank attached,
\
loosen the gas cap ,.. problem solved.:welcome2:

The issue is a Fuel FLOW problem associated with the gas tank.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------=======

\/ 48 Tooth Axle SprocketOn a 15'' tire\/.

You can bet this kart will have a hydraulic brake kit in its future. Hand Brake is what i will start with.

On a side note... My brake-band is too small for my drum. i need barely any more slack... but i am forced to buy brake-bands in increments of 1/2''. i need to find a new band.
Those welds? Not perfect. Will take a lot of grinding to smooth off. i will be purchasing a 2''x2 $8 square pipe and extend my kart length so i will be able to mount the engine with a torque converter on it. engine mount will be cut and re-weld-located too.

This is getting old. Build something or leave ok?

You're an idiot and annoying. You already got a camshaft and said you built the insides.

Mods, this is all a game. Let's end this shall we?
