Jeez, page 3 already?

Free... People are attempting to help you, they did try... and you're now yelling?

Poorboy is what he is. A bit abrasive, yes. Direct, yes... and he's a part of this great group... and I've not seen him give wrong advice yet.

Please stop, be a man. Build something. (I suggest starting with a wheel... and, 3 more wheels that will actually work with the money you've burned already on other stuff)

Sh1t or get off the pot ok? You're just setting yourself up for this crap and you look silly.

Attention comes when you actually get there, and behave along the way.

Now, go build something. If crap don't fit, try asking why and we'd tell you. But don't just throw a tantrum in the corner saying it don't fit... yak yak yak. Why'd you come here?

Really. Why?

If it's to "help others" then you've failed already... and trophies here, do NOT go to participants. You gotta enter the race and at least try to win to get the attention you want.

Don't answer me. Answer for yourself.

tried it, didnt work.

i really just skipped through over half of GOOGLE and other search engines. oh well. just like me trying to find a rim for my kart. you didnt help me so. I STILL DONT HAVE THE HUB I WAS LOOKING FOR.

Sooooo.....you're going to help folks find information on Google :feedtroll: that you aren't capable of finding.....

No Google necessary, all the information is right here on this site....you just have to use the search engine....or ask politely....without POing most of the membership.

Just what do you think you're going to bring to the table here....? How not to join a forum? How to fail trying to build a gokart with ignorance and arrogance instead of humility and knowledge????

Or maybe bicycle wheels and wood?

You're funny...but not funny HA HA...

i'm doing this so i can help other people who use GOOGLE and other search engines. oh well. just like me trying to find a rim for my kart. you didnt help me so i had to think of my own stuff. I STILL DONT HAVE THE HUB I WAS LOOKING FOR. bye from you.

you havent tried it, you havent done it, you've only HEARD about it. aint that right. i sure AH dont see proof!

A) THAT right there shows you have NO IDEA what the h*ll you're talking about. Poboy has so much more experience than you in all of this it's not funny, and pretty much insulting the rest of the community the way speak to a DIY veteran.
B) You also just proved to all the newcomers you don't know what you're talking about just by the way you said it. They go to experienced builders (not posers who have someone else do the work then take all the credit for their work) and they certainly don't listen to someone whining on about how they're going to win the competition and yet not doing anything.

We're absolutely exhausted at your attitude, your inability to comprehend any form of common sense, your scientifically impossible lack of any sort of knowledge of what this community is about, and just the sheer fact you think you can help people is almost devastatingly heart stopping. I speak for nearly every individual here when I say EITHER SMARTEN UP AND GET WITH THE PROGRAM or PACK UP AND LEAVE IT TO THE PROS

Well then, I thought it might be fun to watch this build in it's entirety;
might have been the only one that wants to see some burning rubber video :(
(yes.. belt, not wheels but still :roflol:)

Sad.

at least I was ibtl right ;)

i can at least get a real good rooster tail for ya :) i'll get one, i promise. im eager to share.
and as far as burrning rubber, i can do that too. i'll think about that one..smoking it up in the garage or outside in the day light.

((i like editing my posts with pictures if you want to look again))

YAWN.....:cool::rolleyes:

haha, okay.. gotcha.
let me google how to get rid of tire marks first.

EDIT: not tonight. i dont think its safe to do when gas dripped on the ground from an un-clamped fuel line.

TEASER: i was going to do it like this(but with the gas tank on.) and smelled heavy fuel.
i'll get the light strip mounted one day.
But im glad i didnt cause i dont know how to remove tire marks.
Update:For my go-fast (not quick)for now) needs.

Partial design (proto-type phase)the finishing product wont look exactly like that but that is the general concept.Needs to be formed wider. PRETEND THE LIGHT IN THE MIDDLE IS NOT THERE.:

And jackshafts....??

oh haa ha.

anywaysss.. anyone seen a boost gauge for 55psi? the turbo-charged manifold can hold 40psi with no problem. i'd rather a gauge that reads around 60psi max so i can watch 30 of it drain and get used for raw, immediate power just to watch it re-charge its self. (i've done it already)
i can only find a cheap 35psi max.

And Yes. i do know how to use and install these. whether i'm going to do so correctly is a different story :D
When i used the spray, 80 pounds in the tank holds good down to 30 if the hand is stable with the release mechanism(which is very sensitive).

Bad thing is.. i have to..no, i NEED to find the right pressure balance between air and fuel if i want to run stronger or longer durations of boost. so far it is about 4-1/2 good seconds . It really isn't a bad thing if you know what you're doing.
would need to run rich but not too rich to where i lose a noticeable amount of naturally aspirated power or torque.
Temperature wise: its only a 5 second burst, not long enough to get hot enough to melt anything. that being said i need an o2 sensor and an air/fuel gauge as well to measure A/F ratio.

This will combine GREAT with a high lift , decent duration, cam shaft.
and No. No videos yet. i need to get a couple tires welded anyways.

Wait. There's a turbo charger involved here? Please show us how you intend to connect it to your industrial engine.

Ummmmm....guess what Sherlock? You're the mastermind talkin smack about jackshafts....see.....I see a pattern here....you try to act the idiot....thinking it's gonna make you look SOOOOO much smarter when you reveal what you really have in mind.....

Guess what? YOU ARE AN IDIOT! Look around this site....there are folks that impress the HEEL outta me....without games....but knowledge and ability....

I've warned you before....I've tried to set you straight....this whole forum has given you a bit of a pass....you just seem incapable of absorbing this......BECAUSE: YOU ARE SOOOOOO MUCH SMARTER THAN US!!!!

That's OKAY.... because....the day you think you're going to reveal your "Genius" to us....we will tear you into little pieces....and show you the door....

No turbo charger per se.
They used to do this in the older days for instant power gains to carbed engines. i wont go into detail on how to do this just yet. if i even do decide to talk about it much.

So you're saying adding this boost gauge will give an engine more power? Sort of like adding a speedometer adds more speed. Cool.

I think (well.. I fear...) I know what he talks about...
if so, that's one brainfart of an idea I've not seen for quite some time...

next up: hho injection

Allow me to explain (what I think he thinks he'll try)
commonly referred to as compressed air boost.
basically a scuba tank that is set up to pressurize the intake;
A ball valve for the scuba tank, a butterfly valve to shut down the air intake (when needed)
And, if set up for refilling, a small compressor picking up crankrotation to refill the scuba tank..

a viable (still dumb imho) solution for turbo/supercharged engines to have an additional boost-source to fill in low-rpm potholes.

An utterly stupid idea for non charged engines for more than one reason.
here's a few of them:

you will have to reduce compression in order to maintain reliability of the engine during boost-phase.
you shouldn't reduce compression in order to maintain a decent amount of power during normal aspiration phase.
obviously you cannot have both.

during normal aspiration the engine will power the compressor (at least for a while) to compress air into the tank
that'll draw lots of power you'd rather have at your axle.
but say you're filling the tank at red lights only (*cough*)

Since you cannot add a blow off valve (that'll simply drain the tank to the great outdoors)
you'll have to rely on the tank valve, which will have to be reset according to the remaining tank pressure in order to keep the boost level at least somewhat linear.

tricky to achieve electronically, nearly impossible to achieve manually...

And after all, you run you kart with an airbomb sitting right next to your head, blowing into an engine -that will NOT be set up correctly to withstand the sudden increase in air pressure without eventually blowing the head gasket, or worse bending the conrod-
sitting right at your spine... which one's penetrating your squishy body parts first remains to be seen.

So, someone's nominated for the upcoming Darwin Awards.

PS He might think of something else... but frankly I doubt it.
