OH I see. ya that theory of the loose glove and spinning machines, I see where your going at.
The reason my previous work allowed to use gloves on the big belt, was we mainly ground stuff on the big wheel end, not on the flat portion. Also The wheel spins down to the floor, so if the belt caught the work, it flies to the ground.
So yes this is kinda of a grey area as to a safer operation, aswell as skill in use of the machines.

A flip side....IMO I would never wear gloves when grinding a tungsten for a tig torch, way to easy to catch the wheel or get the sharp rod through you hand.

Texas is so big and beautiful....... And did you know, because it's so big, we can drive around literally all day, and never see Doug......:wai::wai:

Well Texas is defo on the list I'm sick of looking out the window and seeing more windows lmao. I'd love my own quite little place in the middle of the sticks were I can kart and fish till I die of boredom of too much karting and fishing ( not that that's possible). The girls can have horses and me, poboy and Jim can catch dragons and unicorns and whatever else poboy has in his yard.....

That's right dude. My boss said the same thing and common sense does come in to it 90%.... But if you get dragged in with gloves on they do provide some ressistence ( not for very long ). But on the flip side if you DO wear gloves, especially welders gloves your chance of getting caught out flies up......

O it will take more than 2 weeks to do it all, but we could squeeze enough in there that you will write the family and tell them you're a born again Texan...... :lolgoku:

Well. ......I never really walked to the lake...the fishing wasn't that good there....but it was only a 4 minute drive to the bridge.....and I literally took tons of crappie out of that lake........

I fished out of a tube.....with tube jigs...and. ...back in the day....there was no limit on crappie.....so I would get about halfway across the bridge. ...and the fish basket would be full.....so I would have to go back and empty it.....

So I always had plenty of fish to eat....and they cost almost nothing. ....
Then I got into trotlinig for big yellow cat. .... (which are even better eating than crappie.....)

Took my little 10' jonboat with a 2 hp Johnson outboard....and ran trotlines for 2 weeks......in mid May....filled my freezer with about 100 lbs. of pure meat fillets.....

My largest flathead (yellowcat) was 50 lbs......now the funny part is this.....I went to work and told the guys I caught a 17 lb catfish. ....after that freaked them out.....I dropped the other shoe.....I said. ..."Well that's what the head weighed. ...."........think about it. .....

So yeah....although there are no guarantees in fishing.....I come pretty close. ....

And while I doubt you will make the trip across the pond.... you are more than welcome....and yes. ....Texas is just as beautiful and awesome as advertised.....

I haven't traveled a lot....been to Mexico. ...as far west as California. .north....... North Dakota/ Iowa.....east...Mississipi.....ummmmm. missaspelldy.....oops....

Oh yeah. ... have been to North Carolina. .....

Anyway. ....I was always glad to get back home.....and Texas is a great place to live. .......or visit. .... ( as long as you can dodge Jim on your visit):cheers2:

So have two guys ever met in person then ??? It seems like you have but i don't know....

Not yet, but it's inevitable that we will eventually cross paths.... We share a lot of the same interests.... Like minded people usually tend to associate /gravitate to one another..... :lolgoku:

No....not yet. ...but that's the thing about this forum. ....after a while. ....we're all just best friends. ....who give each other as much crap as possible. ....

And there is a very good possibility that Jim and I will meet in person in the not too distant future. .......

I have met "Orange Krate"... (Dennis)....and Grann Pan..... (Grant) and they are even cooler and more awesome in person than they appear online......

(And I guess they would say......I'm even more obnoxious! !!!!)

Been in and out of many a dive bar over the years. ....actually seen a man shot to death in one.....the name of which....was ironically...."Showdown"....

Had quite a few brushes with death.....but I'm just an old man now. ....so I'm pretty laid back. ....

Jim....on the other hand. .....you never know......a Texican????? Those can be dangerous. .....:lolgoku:

Cheers fabroman... That will work I'm struggling more with the actual cable and how to get it from the pedal to the throttle. Obviously there different levels so will I need cable wheels and such????

If I understand corectly, you gonna use only cable without sheet?
Its muc easier to use it with sheet, than you do not need wheels...
Don't know is sheet right name

There called cable sleeves pal. I gonna use them but I don't know how I'm going to get the cable from the pedal down the chassis, and then bend it to get the throttle cable obviously the lever on the carb isn't level with the pedal......
