yeah it was a lot of holes to drill, and I only broke one drill bit!

soldering it up

it muffles my voice pretty well, so I'm hoping it will muffle the engine as well.

I think I just did the most stupid thing... I didn't push the spark plug lead on enough. After pushing it down and pulling the ripcord, there were a few pops and after tweaking the idle screw, it got going very nicely. It sounds awesome with the new muffler!
And, I also got these bad boys posted to me:

IMG_0023.JPGIMG_0027.JPGIMG_0028.JPGIMG_0029.JPGIMG_0030.JPG
I'm moving the axle back up so the engine mount will go up as well.
IMG_0024.JPG
IMG_0026.JPGshe sits a bit high.
IMG_0025.JPGsome bearings and things for the wheels
the wheels are 145/70-6, about 14 inch diameter and were $120. One of them says 10 psi but the others say 4 psi:huh:. I'll just leave them at ten I think:rolleyes:

Cool. What locks your hub to the axle? No keyway I imagine.

At the moment their are two grubscrews on each, and the holes go through into the axle. But I might cut a keyway into them later if I'm not happy with it.
IMG_0016.JPG I've started working on the front, I'm just getting the spindle horizontal.
IMG_0017.JPG
IMG_0018.JPGmmmmm...
re-attaching the steering rack, this time behind the wheels so I can do the ackerman thing
IMG_0019.JPGIMG_0020.JPGIMG_0021.JPG
I would have done more work, but I was temporarily halted after my finger lost a fight to an angle grinder.

Better an angle grinder than a circular wood saw blade!
indeed. Did you cut yourself with one of those?
I've done some more work at the front
IMG_0019.jpgIMG_0020.jpgIMG_0021.jpg
IMG_0022.jpgthe bearing housing for the front hubs, attaching the wheels to these will be a bit tricky.
IMG_0023.jpgIMG_0024.jpg
the steering is once again functional. All I need is to attach the front wheels and I can test it out!:auto::cornut:

Did the exact same injury to my finger in college with an angle grinder. Except right index finger and it was on the edge and went down to bone. Still a slight scar, still possibly feel grinder disk under the healed skin. It had gone through leather welding gloves and got me good. Wasn't a fun week and a half, but was still able to weld.

Turbo lag? Oh you mean the courteous head start.
