That makes a lot more sense. These thumbnails suck on the phone. If I try to zoom in after I click on them the higher quality version closes.

I made a fuel tank for this thing today. It is just a piece of 3" pipe I welded caps on the ends of. I used silver solder to attach the copper filler neck. It is a little rough still, but I am going to wrap it in copper anyway. but it does not leak and that is the important part.

I made a copper cover for the tank I made last week. The tank is 3" but I added some spacers and wrappped it in Copper so it is 4" round in appearance.

I did not trust my soldering skills to do the entire tank out of copper.
and 4" steel tube was only available in 1/4 wall thickness. That would have been HEAVY!

I also chose not to hammer the copper on the tank. I like the clean smooth look of it, but the caps are hammered. There is some smooth pipe accents on this kart anyway so I think it will all tie together.

Yeah getting Close. I need a few things still
1 Get a keyway machined in the axle
2 Buy a clutch
3 Buy Chain
4 Wire up a kill switch

Then I can put it all together and test it.
Take it apart and paint
Then final assembly.

Looks too nice to ride. Like something I would store in the living room or bedroom and maybe ,just maybe, would sit on it I don't know. Wouldn't want to wear the seat any.

Thanks, Believe it or not the seat was actually Very cheap to make. Cheap Faux Vinyl, plywood, and Foam from an abandoned couch on the side of the road! Most expensive part was the brass studs.
