Will a Briggs engine use up more oil if it over heats? Also if my engine eats up a lot of oil but does not smoke and has great compression, What could be wrong with it? What will cause the engine to push oil through the valve case breather?

Im using a twist throttle for a mini bike. The engine is stock. I am not using the governor. I want to hook it up directly to the butterfly thing (not sure what you call it)

Or explain how you hooked it up.

I eyeballed the center and then used a punch to make the mark. Then i started working my way up with different sized drill bits. To my surprise it came out very straight. I take a small engines course in my high school and they have plenty of engines to take parts out of. That is why i was not...

where did you get the clutch from? Northern tools?

The clutch is in school but i did a search and the keyway is built in. no set screws.

it does have a keyway with a set screw. but not sure about the second key way. Its a Hillard extreme clutch.

I just bought a clutch for my engine. Your supposed to put a bolt and a washer on the end of the shaft. The thing is, the shaft is solid (does not have a place to screw the bolt into). Do they make some sort of clip for this?
