Im building a mini chopper. In order for the engine to run in the rite direction the PTO side of the crank shaft has to be on the left hand side. But my sprocket is on the right hand side.

Now i have to choose between two setups.

I can either put a jack shaft on it.
OR
Put the PTO side of the shaft on the right hand side and run it backwards then take the clutch and put that on backwards. (would this even work?)

What?? Think about this in a logical way. No, reversing the clutch wouldnt make it spin the opposite direction. Can you switch the wheel around so the sprocket is on the correct side?

If you turn the engine around, you will be driving in reverse. It doesn't matter what you do to the clutch.

Why can't you flip the wheel around?

A jackshaft isnt all that hard to make up for the bike unless there is a space issue. Id also go for that.
