Video: That's exactly what I like, a side-by-side comparison of real-time volts and amps (voltage and current). If I'm willing to take my eyes off of where I'm going to look at the dash, the info flashed into my brain in half a second needs to be exactly what that meter shows.

    Gokart differential identification

???????? Not understanding. Does the diff have to take the full torque of the motor or not? Does it not have 2 separate pieces of axle sticking out of it on either side? Doesn't the full weight of the rearend (with riders aboard too) bear down vertically (at rest) on those bushings?

    Minibike build

Smooth-haired medium size boxer and a scraggly-haired smallish Jack Russell. Please post a pic, my past honey with 2 J.R.'s would love to see it.

    Gokart differential identification

Thanks for the web page, partsguy. This is weird..............Needle bearings and seals only available for the weaker (by 33%) 3/4" axle. I know I'm OCD, but I would only go with the strongest axle (1"), and wouldn't want it spinning on fixed bushings instead of bearings. For me that would mean...

    Brat Subaru

That's a side-mounted engine, correct? How does that air-cooled engine get enough air in there to run decently? Through the painted-on louvers on the hood? P.S. : What made the Brat stand out was the pair of rear-facing seats in the truck bed. A girlfriend and a friend of hers both got nauseous...

    Exhaust pipe source?

Another flatlander! Hope the mega builders there stacked up some hilly ground for you from development spoil. Possibilities are endless from that. They made the steepest and meanest mountain in Jax that way, which eventually became a golf course on Sunbeam Rd. Now it's free range behind the fence.

    Gokart differential identification

Hey experienced folks, enlighten me too on that Peerless 100. What's the ratio in/out, can you lube it, what's it rated for, are different ratios available?

    Blastled 40 series reverse gearbox

You're right Denny, it's not cool. Frustration setting in however, has caused much worse. For all of us reading here, to hear that a given horsepower on a given kart was more than a single common F-N-R could take might mean many, many of them not getting destroyed and sent back under warranty...

    DONGFANG DF200GKD Gokart help???

Backwards sounds backwards, but it's one of the two ways to go on an electrical diagnosis (other way is forward). Start at the tail end and work backwards this time. Pull the starter loose enough that the gear doesn't engage the engine, and try it. If it spins, it's a weak battery or an engine...

    Here we go again 🤦*♂️

Makes the gear ratios nearly endless. Easily available small sprockets, I like a heavier 3/4" shaft, with a smaller one from engine, larger one to axle.

    Tire size to power?

I'd let the ghosts of all my ancestors take turns kicking me in the keester before I'd do the P.I.T.A. work (Pain In - -) of changing out even one cheap Chinee belt when a genuine Comet belt would have prevented all of it.

Trailworks 265 Subaru Driven Clutch Problem

On GKS belts site, did you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page? There's twice as much text there as the top, all of it important.

    Blastled 40 series reverse gearbox

If you just bought that gearbox, and it has an unconditional warranty for 30 days or whatever, hurry up and run the max monkey mess out of it. Blow it up if you can, and then get a new one for free. Then you'll actually know what it can take without asking. Let us know too.

Looking to upgrade wheels on Coleman KT196

If you're saying the axle has 18 splines on the end to fit into splined hubs, a new axle of same with longer length would be hard to find. I'm seeing a standard 1" solid axle with keyways to fit standard smooth-bore hubs with matching keyways in your future. Of course, if the sprocket, brakes...

    Here we go again 🤦*♂️

Kart in pics above really has some distance between the wheels and the axle bearings. More than I'd be comfortable with.

    HobbyKing Battery Medic

Now that I'm trying to recall, I only recall having seen readouts on the electric kart stuff in terms of voltages. I think as often in terms of amp draw as voltage, hence my meters of choice for 40 years have been multirange VOMMa clamp-arounds. Do any dash-mount meters for those karts read the...

    Idle jumps up and down(surging)

Not just that, do you have a return spring on both the engine for the actual engine throttle, and on the gas pedal at the other end? Cables are only completely suitable for pulling, they bind up when trying to push them. You need to pull from both ends.
