    420cc with 1" 40D series drive and 3/4" driven clutch.....questions about difference in quality/manufacturer

Disclaimer: I could be wrong. Too lazy right now to check on it, but don't you mean staying with the aftermarket stock flywheel that comes with the 2nd coil? I've tried to find a flywheel with 2 or more magnets for a Predator 212 to support the extra coil, and failed completely. All the kits...

    Painting a Duramax 440?

Flat and glossy always stand out (clash) against each other. Hotrodders used to paint their hoods flat when the rest was glossy, but it was only to be functional, to reduce the glare at the track. Stay with flat, or go satin at most, to match the Igloo.

Only had to do that once with the third wife to be taught a lesson I've never forgotten. Very helpful for me when the 4th wife happened.

    Amazon shifter kart?

Unbelievable! Well, that's one way to do it. I made a kart that has 2 steering positions for a bench seat (with racing harnesses), but only 1 steering wheel. It does have dual gas/brake pedals though. Harnesses work normal for 2-seat, and flip the inside straps of both for center-drive.

    Trailmaster Blazer 200R Parking Brake

Okay, I want to blame the fried brain cells, but I don't remember any of the golf carts I rode before getting out of high school. Now I remember the split brake pedals, only the skinny top half set the brake. Easier to imagine it now.

Building a 'Restomod' Manco Dingo with my boys

Must be something really wrong with the mechanical components, because that ASYMMETRIC belt for a 30 series TC should definitely be .75" wide across the top, see the cross-section drawing at the top of the GKS chart linked previously...............Comet Torque Converter Belts | Go Kart Drive...

    Kart Identification

Full disclosure: A whole lot of stuff I removed from various bikes (mostly big thumpers that didn't need the insignificant weight loss anyway) was already busted or damaged first. Turn signals go first, metallic fenders next, other lights, speedo, tach, etc., and muffler guards.

    TIRE PATCH KIT

For the trouble of dismounting the wheel, and then dismounting the tire from a 1-piece rim, by the time that's done I'd be disgusted with it. I'd order a new tire, and that mini tire changer from Harbor Freight, and be done with it. Mini-Tire Changer (harborfreight.com)

Is my axle 5/8 or 1”

That split sprocket hub tightens down to the axle via that Allen head screw. If you loosen all of the bolts holding the split sprocket to it first, it should loosen up by loosening that Allen.

    Trailmaster Blazer 200R Parking Brake

Yeah, that's how it worked on every cart I ever rented, on at least a dozen courses from Jacksonville to Jamaica. (I always rode, won't carry a bag 18 holes for love nor money.) Question should have been stated.................If a simple spring throwing a latch piece is how it works, is there...

    Kart Identification

Doesn't matter how small it is, every dirt rider that actually does what I call riding has exhaust scars on the legs, even through pants. I've had 8 dirt-slingers, and most of them got me at least once. No, I never kept any guards or other unnecessary stuff on my bikes.

Replacement Gas Tank for Subaru Robin?

It will always get a little water in it from condensation. Gas caps are vented to allow the fuel to flow at constant atmospheric pressure, you can't seal that off. Good idea to run the carb dry once in a while, but the tank would be happier if you just unbolted it and dumped it all out, flushed...

    Kart Identification

Yeah, that's right, but I think I've got an exaggerated feeling of disaster when thinking about it. I watched Leon pulling my Suzuki DR370 out from under the front end of a Cadillac, and get his forearm stuck against the exhaust header. Didn't realize it was happening, so I don't know how long...

    Kart Identification

I wouldn't have a clue who made that kart, but I know they didn't finish. See that big silver tab sticking out from the side of the muffler? If you don't finish the job by attaching that to something solid, there's a real good chance that muffler's going to break off, and Murphy's Law says it...

    Most power for the money?

Kidding about the STP lube, I actually do only use it to increase viscosity, but not any assembly lube they may have, don't even know if they do have any. The only Studey Trans Prod I use is "STP Oil Treatment", specifically. It's Motor Honey under a cheaper name, keeps my oil pressure up in my...

    Are Open-Diff Chain-Drive Axles a Thing?

Even if the rear tires were greased-up slicks that could levitate across the grass, anything you do besides sit still and admire the nice yard will tear up the grass with the front tires alone. They have tread on them for a reason also, to bite into the turf to turn the kart.
