Two of my karts lock up wheels with 1 band.

And don't be dumb and jump your kart. It may seem great but is a good way to break it or yourself if you don't land right.

After the old tires wore out they most likely got replaced. Almost all of my karts have split rims in the front. Got a flat on a back one and the split rims make it easier to work on. 4 bolts and you can switch out a tube. ---------- Post added at 10:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 10:13...

Run it and spray a bit of carb clean right where they come together. If the rpm goes up you have a leak.

I think the OP had the filter but not the top airbox cover.

He plans to chop it back to solid metal and get a new piece to wel d in, with propper bracing. Maybe take a trip to a junkyard and see if we coould get a frame cheap.

Sorry for sideways pic..... only pic I've got from today. Before painting the seat and area around it. had to take it down so we could pull my truck into the barn. Put it on jacks because of leaky brakes, found holes in the frame. Time to go car shopping.

Just try it, just becausenit was inspected before doesn't mean everything's perfect.

As for the block idea from before. Back like 10 years ago my dad got a kart for us, none of us were able to reach so it had ~3 inch wood blocks. And more padding behind us. We could reach then and had fun.

I looked at it closer. Yes that's what it looks like. Wheels/hubs stuck on axle? And what if you flip the axle around and leave the pillow blocks and use 1 inch tube and weld the axle together with it.

I wonder how it's been going.
