Do you guys think 50$ is a good deal for this?

Found really locally on Craigslist, looks like it's live axle, which is something I've been wanting for a while, already have a 212 I'm building, definitely needs some work, what do you guys think?

I think it's sketchy. If you do get it get new front wheels and go over that whole back section. But for 50$ I'd get it as long as it looks ok in person

I don't like that, not one bit. There's just something about it...the rear half looks wrong. The front half looks wrong The entire thing just looks wrong.

I kinda like it. It’s got some vintage flavor to it, plus add-ons, some Bubba work here and there done to it over the years...

PLUS it was a twin engine kart at one time. Look how low slung it is.
It looks like it used to be something. It looks 1960’s...from the golden era.

And yeah those are plastic cart wheels on the front. No big deal.

That is a classic 60s race kart someone tried to "improve" by adding bumpers !
I cannot point my finger on make and model atm but those axle hangars and the inner twin sprockets...
I have seen that thing before.

it even still has the twin motor mounts somewhere beneath the mess..
and the sprockets suggest twin two strokes (one actually set up to run in reverse)

ps that is if you are into vintage karts... if you are not you could flip it (and might earn a buck which will take some work and a lot of patience), or just let it pass

itsid for some reason reply isn't working but you said it might be for twin two strokes, I was hoping to drop my existing predator on it and when I score a deal on a 3hp or something I'd put it on my old kart and maybe sell it to a friend or save it for a rainy day, does it matter or can I just plugnplay the predator?

I doubt you'll have room for a slant block 4 stroke on there. The axle sits above and not very far behind the engine mounts... Basically right where your cylinder head would be.

A Briggs flathead might work, but I'd be inclined to say no on a predator/Honda/Intek/etc without putting fairly large blocks under it. That would make it a big negatory on the plug and play idea.

If you do, don't turn into one of those wrong kinds of people who finds a diamond in the rough.
At least you're not foaming at the mouth, ready to butcher it for your own uses. But I wouldn't be raring to put a Predator on it or do anything to alter it just yet.

Who knows what that kart frame is, Sid or someone else may yet identify it as something worth 1,000 bucks to the right buyer. No telling.

I have a couple flathead briggs that need fuel systems, they may fit on the frame easier, if you are interested in them I'd just charge shipping.
