My mechanical caliper is an airheart not sure how old it is.

Looks like you have a drum brake. That will have to be replaced. Mine has an 8" plate 1/4" thick.

It is a mechanical brake. There should be a plate welded to the frame that it will bolt up to. I can get a picture of the brake caliper itself this sat. Let me know if this helps.

Good luck trying to find 1. I had to take mine apart an had a machine shop specifically make mine.

Heck I can't even find a pic of 1.

Oh ya. Also found this 1. They are definitely out of my price range.

Well I guess if the kart is all original an old enough in mint condition someone will pay top dollar.

Thanks. My neighbor asked me, I just laughed an said I have no clue. He's pretty excited about it. 1st gokart ever. Looks pretty rough to me. Came with the original Robin engine. It's in rough shape.

Well it's kinda hard to see it on that pic. But the connections are already welded on that kart in the pic. Their just missing.

Kinda figured that but what really strange is the guys at junkyard diggs have 1 that looks the same. Caught it on video an paused for a pic.

So can you tell me if this is a grasshopper ? If so why is the front bent like that? No cracks ,everything level elsewhere.
