Its been proven over and over that the cheap belts just dont last. Some make it longer than others but all fail at some point. The good belts will last. BUT, the cvt needs to be smooth and lube properly and aligned. Ive never seen my belts get sticky goo. Thats the "rubber" breaking down...

Comet or rotary belts. The cheap yak hair and grease ones last exactly 2 hours.

Perhaps take measurements of the spring and look at spring mfg pages. You can buy them per size. Like how you can get different nuts amd bolts at the hardware store. Then just up size the coil count or wire diameter.

The gear oil as in the final reduction or do you mean the engine oil? I think the gy6 drain plug is on the bottom of the crank case. The final reduction box will probably have 2 plugs. One is a drain and the other will be a fill / level. Help us out and post some pics of what you have...
