Well, ****. Got the engine put back together after giving it a nice bath and having sanded off the sides of the flywheel (pretty rusty). Decided to pull the valve cover to have a look in case I got any cleaning fluid in there and ... yeah. PO decided for whatever reason, to pull the rockers...

Had the engine in the parts washer this evening and noticed three little holes in the casting just below the exhaust port. They're about the size of the 'O' on your keyboard. What do you think would cause this and should I be concerned? Is my motor toast?

Lines are disconnected from master cyl. Plug is in. I can pump all day and, at best, a few drops will piddle out.

It moves very freely, but will not pump fluid. Filled it last night with the wrong fluid (didn't know any better at the time) but it appears to have drained out. Filled it tonight with the correct dot 5 but it just won't pump fluid. What do you suppose could be causing this?

Ha! Someone on another forum suggested using a grease gun to pop the pistons free (more pressure, less danger than using comp air). Went to the auto parts store after work and they had a grease fitting that fit the caliper! Also picked up a new brass plug for the master cyl (the plastic one was...

Just tried that, they didn't budge. They (well, at least one) moved a bit last week when I hit the brake pedal so I assume they're not totally beyond hope.

How do I remove pistons from Enginetics calipers? Have removed the calipers and now want to remove the pistons so I can clean everything up. They're stuck quite firmly in place. Don't want to pry where I shouldn't so I'm looking for a "correct" method of removing them.

How well do engines (ie: the Honda gx140) like being mounted on an incline as with the Burris mount? How well would I it oil? How would you determine the oil level?

The flywheel is beyond simple surface rust, it's almost fuzzy with rust at this point. It needs to be cleaned up a bit. The magnet looks pretty good actually, just want to clean up the rest. Figure I'd take some of it apart and clean it in the (parts) washer. Just didn't want to put the...
