i have all of my cad files and assemblies, i can tell you anything you want to know, finacial summary, bill of materials, the works. heres another pic. the frame is rhino lined. i built it in 15 weeks for my mechanical engineering final project. hand made 100%
i did a hybrid of the spidercarts arachnid, the edge taipan, and my own design. pictures are in my album. For off road i couldnt ask for a better kart. high off the ground, safe, fast. what is your budget?
i would use a silver sharpie, they are very visible. use calipers if you have them, or tape, and measure the motor mount, and create a drawing of it, then cut out your plate, measure, mark, measure again, drill, and weld!
it looks pretty good man! im a designer at E-Z-GO/Bad Boy Buggies and i know a decent amount about frames, what gauge and size tubing are you looking at? if its not very thick you may want to look at adding some structural support in the front connecting the section that the A-Arms mount to to...
update: frame is complete and at paint shop for a complete sand/prime/line-x spray job. im excited i think the bedliner look will be very cool and unique. i got some diamond plate on the front and floor on my buggy as well. final assembly to be done this weekend. anyone here have any thoughts on...
Ok I fixed it! Thank you for your response.it turns out the spring from the throttle to the gov. Was in the wrong hole from factory and had a slight but of tension at idle making the RPMs rise slightly. Now my last step ifs the dreaded throttle cable linkage
Hey guys, i am at the end of my build and have my buggy assembled, i am trying to work the kinks out of the torque converter and engine. when the engine is at idle, the driver on my 40 series is engaging slightly. i did what any engineer would do and dismantled it to see what i can do to make it...
Ok i'm stuck.the engine is idling higher than I need it to and engaging the torque converter. I fiddled with the governer arm but when I got the RPMs low enough there was no throttle response.this is on a 16HP blue clone.any suggestions? The pulleys are the right distance for the belt to
i was holding the lever that normally would control throttle on the motor, i loosened the nut so it is in variable speed, but it didnt really seem to do anything compared to the choke lever right next to it.
ok guys im in need of some knowledge. i have my kart partially assembled and had it up on jackstands and turned the motor on, the rear was off the ground, the torque converter woulnt quite go into a neutral state so i assume i need to loosen the belt a little bit. no big deal. but the motor did...
oh my bad haha. i keep thinking higher numbers are higher gear ratio but thats backwards. i will do some research on that transmission and get back to you
as far as my understanding, the more gears you have, the more torque you feel throughout the speeds because you can keep the rpms within the powerband. so if you dont have any gears then your torque is all low rpms and low speeds, but if you have gears then you can keep it in the highest torque...
