    1st Go Kart Help

Since you are using 11 inch wheels I believe you should stick to the 2:5:1 ratio. By the way what do you mean with solid rear axle, do you mean live axle (traction on both wheels) cause you will need it with the GX340. I'm also on a project right now with a GX390 I just posted some pictures feel...

Any one knows the speed reduction ratio for a 780 comet clutch?

Thank you so much Russ2251, hey by the way the numbers are even better than what I was expecting. I've heard the 700 series provide that "slam you in the seat performance" that "serious karters" are looking for. I have not had the chance to test mine yet since Im still working on the exhaust for...

    What Engine and sprockets

Believe me it is possible, my dingo has a 5hp briggs (with a few tweaks of course including a comet TAV2) that clocked 46 mph (measured with my cousins Matrix 150cc Scooter) and it was on a leveled not downhill straight way.

    Pics of belt drive train

Hey, if you do, be sure to use the Comet 500 Series torque converter, it offers the widest speed reduction ratio of them all - .81 top end - 3.24 low. Now that's having the best of both worlds...:sifone:

Trading Club Car clutch system for a Comet 40 Series

A buddy of mine had this clutch on his go kart that has a 5hp Briggs & Stratton with a 3/4 shaft, he gave it to me for a spare motor (6.5 hp tecumseh) that I had sitting in my garage. At first I thought I was going to be able to make it fit on my go kart but there's just not enough space. The...

    (PROJECT) Street Dingo

That combination sounds very good, in fact the kart was not in this condition when I bought it, I scraped it to the bone and repainted it completely so I do believe you can do the same with yours before swaping in the 360cc engine you mentioned. You won't regret it.
