Although I might just ditch and sell the whole engine/transmission and just direct run the motor with a greater step down in ratio to account for the larger tires. That would be much easier.

Yes. There are several places I can mount the motor such that it engages with the clutch pack. It all fits rather nice. This way, I don't have to muck around ordering $400 worth of parts cause nobody makes this generation of YZ80 conrod anymore.

But the Mx500 is already in working order, all I have to do is fab mounting for the electric motor and the combined battery/controller module. What else are you worried about?

Are you welding with Flux-core arc welding? It helps me to play around with the wire feed and voltage settings first until it works like a hot glue gun, melting both sides together
