Hi Guys.
Been a long time since I posted here.
But found this thread interesting. I have the exact same motor sitting in the shed at home. To get mine started when I bought it, I had to get the carbs synced and soak the jets in carb cleaner for a few days.
Also have you worked out the gear...
My 2 cents on this would be you still want to mount the engine forwards and use one jackshaft instead of multiple, but not as experienced as the others on here.
Love the way your front steering is going to turn out, one mistake I made with mine was having the front too narrow and having poor...
yes definitely going to grab this if i can talk it down to nice price
will add some scoops and probably a fan to give engine plenty of air
also do you think the forward reverse gearbox it has if fixed could handle the power from the 750?
would be niec to have reverse aswell
Have found another frame
has disk brakes all round
independent front and rear suspension
only thing wrong with it is forward reverse gearbox doesnt work
but motor works fine (will pull out and sell)
So might look into this one as need to get this project started
heres some pics of it...
thanks for the good replies
i do have a bottle of very old oil that ive forgotten to throw out yet
so might try toystory's "redneck" method
but still waiting on sprockets to arrive
Hi
I've ordered some machinable sprockets from McMasterCarr for my jackshaft
and have been told by someone that they need to be hardened once machined.
is this correct?
and how would i go about doing it?
can i do it myself in workshop?
Im asking this because i have no clue so please no stupid...
my radiator is in a similar position behind the seat but high enough to get air. and the pump seems to be handling fine and engine remains at a very steady temperature around 90 celcius
