Actually you can do a simple governor "mod" by moving the spring and adjusting the throttle stop and it'll ride right around 5000 with everything still hooked up. Look it up on YouTube. Takes 5 minutes. We've done it....and put a tach on it. It's legit!

So the factory valve springs are good to 5000 rpm? I just don't see why it's necessary to keep the factory ones IF I still have the governor limiting me to 5000 RPM anyway. When we changed the springs in the other Hemi we have, it seemed "crisper" in the top end and was still governed to...

I have that exact same engine. I think they were made to run stationary equipment because it has high and low idle (at least mine does) and it's the first 5hp I had seen with a 1" shaft....ironically you've got one too. I bought a knockoff Comet 30 series TQ from eBay. Just make sure it accepts...

No, didn't get a clutch unfortunately. Motor wasn't even bolted on. Kid said he had just bought it. We just built another Dingo, that's not quite finished and this one is actually in better shape.
