Manco Dingo belt length? Comet 40 w/jackshaft

Acquired an all original Manco Dingo 288 (I think) last week that still has the Briggs 8hp flattie, Comet 40 series and jackshaft system still on it. Main thing I'm missing is the belt. Anyone know what length the original belt would've been? Amazon and eBay have several 40 series belts, but there are several different lengths. It's got what apple to be a car alternator belt on it hahaha.

Also, is there a 40 series driver clutch that is 3/4 bore, or a way to convert it to 3/4 bore so I can swap a 212 Predator onto it? I know I can just put a Chinese Comet 30/TAV2 on there, but I'd rather use the original torque if it works. We've got the clone torques and motors on two other dingos, but they're the 285/286 models that had 18's on them. We've already blown up one of the torque converters and are now not so sure about them lol. Thanks.

Well the belt length used is determined by the distance from the crank shaft to the jackshaft.
Not sure on your dingo, but measure the distance from the center of the crank to the center of the jackshaft.

There is a 44 series Driver Unit with a 3/4" bore.

I'm trying to do the same thing. Did you find a way to make it work? I got a Comet 44 and having trouble mounting it to the 212 because the output is only about 2 inches long.
