How much force does it take to rotate a proper one? I can rotate mine somewhat easy. I'm wondering if it's why the kart tries to engage regardless of how low the idle is and why it doesn't have any low end torque.

Should the pins and flyweights rotate by hand? The pins aren't even touching the sides.

Well, the day started off Promising. Pulled the carb apart and gave it a good cleaning. Pulled both sides of the TC apart and cleaned them up. Noticed that the spring was in the number one hole so I was able to move it over to the number two position. Got everything put back together and took...

I believe it's a Comet 30 series from the info I can find online, it's also stamped withe the comet name. Off to start the cleaning process. Will post up later today. Thanks for the suggestions.

Not to bring an old thread back from the grave but I was able to stretch the spring out ever so slightly and she's been running like a champ (knock on wood) ever since.

I was afraid you would say that but I figured that's what was needed. Do I need the full kit or just a new spring. Is it common for the spring to hang like this considering how old the motor is?
