Looking for the front wheels and right (passenger side) spindle for a Murray go kart model# GT60101x92D. The tire size for the front wheel is a 11X4X5.

Here is a few pictures from today and why I need to replace the damaged parts. :furious2:

for the spindle, i bet you could just bring the old one to a local shop and have them make one for you, not sure how much they would charge, if you cut all the parts for them it would lower the cost.

i'll look into the wheel.

I didnt hit anything. I let my older and younger daughter take it out while I finished up on my daughters smaller kart. At some point, my older daughter decided it was a good idea to let my younger daughter (she's 8) drive. She decided to test the strength of the wheels against a concreat curb. Needless to say, I wasnt happy at all.

that spindle could work, but i HIGHLY doubt it, and i wouldn't spend the money on it.
whats wrong with the rim i linked earlier?
i just looked for the spindle, still nothing. i think either fixing it, or having anew one made is your best option.

I'm going to sell the kart once it's back up and going. The wheels you posted are 2 piece and I'd like to stay with something that is close to what came on it from Murray if possible. If I was keeping it, the ones you pointed out would be great. Plus I can get a new tire for about $10 more then the 5" wheel you posted or for the same price if I move up to a 6" wheel and tire.

If your trying to save money and the outside of that rim still spins fairly true you might be able to bend the damaged area back into shape. I'd probably start by clamping that damaged inner lip area in a big bench vice and cranking it down before finishing up with some careful work with a big hammer. If you get it looking pretty good but couldn't get the bead to seal there you could try a little silicone or just buy a tube.

After looking at it some more I was wondering the same thing. Might give it a try and see if I can clean it up a little. It's not like I'm going to make it any worse. LOL

If I can't strighten out the spindle, does anyone know if this one will work?

http://www.bmikarts.com/item/5-8-Spindle-Side-2-6986

This is the only wheel I can find that comes close to matching what do you guys think?

Or I could step up to a 6" wheel and a 13" tire?

Hey - i just got the same kart and one of the front wheels has a real nasty wobble to it. im guessing the bearing or the wheel is shot.

Does this cart have a 5/8th bearing like the wheel you posted? if so im definitely gonna order a set of them

Why don't you just measure it?

the bolts look pretty crappy, i was trying to avoid taking them on and off unnecessarily, since i dont have a socket big enough for them im stuck using a crescent wrench, which can round them off a bit.

if nobody knows ill go ahead and pull one and check, i was just hoping somebody knew the size. i really should just buy some large sockets

measure the end of the bolt, you don't have to remove it

I went ahead and pulled it off - it measured 5/8 (well as close as i could tell - i dont have a caliper so i was using a tape measure) so i went ahead and ordered the wheels.

thanks!

I would take this chance to upgrade to larger tires personally, you've got long spindles from the factory so you can accommodate most wheel assemblies, fixing the spindle isn't too hard you should be just fine with patience and the right torch technique.
