I'm so close to getting my rear caliper mounted. My last hang up is a missing piece. There is a rod from the mount that fits into a hole on the caliper. I'm pretty sure there's supposed to be a rubber insert that fits over that rod and in that caliper hole. The hole on the caliper has an ID of...
Hey all, got most everything hooked up. I get the chain aligned and everything tightened up. I take it out for a quick run and the sprocket invariably moves to the left and the chain starts rubbing on the torque converter.
I have the sprocket hub locked down and a collar lock on either side...
Anyone got a good guide on attaching this rear brake caliper? I got the kart with it hanging off the back and no hardware. Not entirely sure how to mount it to the bracket. Am I better off just buying a new rear caliper?
I thought this would be easy (my first problem :P )
420cc predator
I unplugged the yellow wire coming from the block and the oil sensor
I ran a wire from the other end (the yellow wire that goes into the magic gold box) to a momentary button that was already mounted on my frame.
The other...
So first, my TC is spinning my axle at idle. It's up off the ground with no wheels on so I figure that may be the cause.
Second, my chain is no sitting right and makes some clunking noise as it travels. It bulges out on axle sprocket when spinning. Is it too loose?
Third, is my driven pulley...
I've got my #41 chain broken into a near perfect length. However, one end is an outside link and the other is an inside link.
I would like to use a master link to connect, can I just force the master link pin through the outside link holes? The master link fits fine through the inside link of...
Got my engine mounted and running. Last thing I did was connect my throttle.
It was idling along and I heard something fall. This scew/spring thing was on the ground. Not sure where it came from and I don't see any obvious place it came from. Looked in the manual and didn't see an obvious match.
I need to get hardware to mount my engine. I went through the manual and didn't see any sizes. What size bolts? Should I just get regular nylock nuts? I see some kits with rubber grommets, what size? Locking washers needed?
I don't want to buy a kit and wait for shipping.

Looks like Predators will get a price bump soon.
EDIT: not posting this for anything political. just for informational purposes.
Are there any other considerations to using a #35 chain with a 40 series TC other than finding a 5/8" 10T #35 sprocket?
Also, on the driven jackshaft, do I want a sprocket with a hub (type B?)

Too good to be true?

So I messed up. I got a 60T sprocket but there's too little room between the sprocket and a swingarm support bar.
I have two options as I see it.
1. I take the bearing flanges off and get them welded to the end of the arms. This should give me a good 2 inches or more. It would also improve...
Is there a preference on which side of the flange the bearings are mounted?
Also, I was surprised there wasn't a key slot in the bearings. Does the axle just sit loose in them?
Sorry for all the threads and questions! :cheers2:
I'm learning a lot and I try to find the answer to my questions before I post.
There's a piece on this 420cc that I'm having a hard time identifying. I've been through the manual and its not on the exploded parts list or any other picture. I...
I just got home with a 420cc predator. It has the *49 model number and 19.8 ft/lbs of torque listed on the side of the box.
I took out of the box and it looks like its got some extra bits on it.
What raised a red flag is it looks like the exhaust sticks out more than the other model. I'm...
