Thanks mate, yeh very true. Well that kart isn't in use any more, had to make room for my new one. It's a real shame to see it go, although I've kept the engine so you never know, a re-build may be in order one day. Was only 15 at the time, so I'm sure if I re-built it, i'd do a much better job...

I don't think strength is too much of a problem as the mild steel has pretty thick walls, however a floor may be a good idea. I'll get a precise top speed gps reading soon and report back, but like I said I would be surprised if it didn't hit 45mph. Also better, bigger wheels would be ideal for...

Got the pictures, finally. Hits about 45mph and will accelerate great. Also has a cool engine start/stop button right of the seat which is a pretty cool feature.
