Hi,
Starting a new go kart project. I have a gx200 replica engine that was bought second hand. It does run but the idle rpm is a little inconsistent. The governor has been removed completely and it has a brand new carb. It will start and run but as said it runs a little inconsistently. I am no expert so don't really know how to diagnose this problem.
However the real problem, as well as that, is the problem when it runs at near full throttle and full throttle. The rpm will increase as it should however it gets to a certain point and the revs begin to drop drastically. If I hold the throttle in this position is slows right down and dies. However if release the throttle before it is about to die, the revs pick up again and return to normal.
I have just replaced the oil and it has no other parts other than original parts.
I am after help on how to sort out this problem, any suggestions would be fantastic. Thank you very much
