Been awhile since I have done anything with my kart. It has been in and out of storage and the motor is all dismantld in a box. Getting ready to start this build again. Need me a toy again.
I was thinking about doing ether a new preditor or a motorcycle engen. What yall think?
I was looking at other peoples builds and they have 1" and some have 1" and then the end is 2"....what you think would be good for my setup...or some sort of explanation of the difference is between the two
ok cool thanks.....what do you mean by head.....port polish and I don't really know where to get the pipe...I have a welder and I think that I can weld exhaust pipe been practicing
would I be able to make some type of intake with piping...
I'm not going to buy it all at once lil bit at a time...cause I have to finish my civic before I can start on this engine just got it all tore apart so that I can do the free....and cheap on the engine first....cause I will be getting the valve springs, exhaust, and Intake first and then slowly...
if you are saying that you have just a sprocket on the end of you crank then yes you have to measure the diamiter of the end of the crank and get a clutch that fits....http://www.affordablegokarts.com/index.php
lots of good stuff here!! good luck
bake
it is really strong will eat up plastic so make sure it is bare frame or make sure there are no plastic pieces on whatever you are stripping...people use it on drag cars to strip the whole car down...that is what i used...should be able to get at walmart or any auto parts store
well I tore down the engine today...took out the governor and low oil sensor will be ordering some parts soon for it...thinking bout 18lb springs...billet rod...flat top piston....better exhaust...and 22mm mikuni carb...uni air filter
also how do I take out the valves want to lap the valves...
I bought a dual flux/mig welder and it works wonders...it is 220 and it is from harbor freight got it for 140 just have to look for the sales...but remember auto darkening is your best bet for helmet and good gloves you don't want 3rd degree burns !! good luck
it did steer like crap before a lil worse but not much....i had to weld the nut on the end of the bolt on the ends on the steering column or it wouldn't have enough room for travel
