okay so i took it outside today i had a friend push me while i tried to bump start it i know im getting spark. if my timing was off would that effect the engine i feel like it would still fire just not the greatest. anyone have any ideas?

Ya we did and I checked it today and the stator is getting power and the ohms. I was testing it wrong before. So now my guess is the stator trigger unless there's a way to test that

I tried all the ohm settings on the multi meter and I wasn't getting a reading of 100 ohms on any. I'll try checking the voltage

Ok so I tested the stator and it's shot. (Just to make sure I tested it right). I'm sapossed to put the multi meter on ground and on the stator and set it to 200k?

Yahhhh I got spark. Belive it or not all I did was paint a part. I painted the magneto trigger because I noticed it was coated in a red rubber seal that was peeling away so I repainted it which un grounded to trigger (I think). I tried to start it a few times but ran out of day light. I'll try...

Yes they are the same. Chris or toy story just dropped by and had a look at it and we replaced the cdi and coil from the xr100 and we still got no spark. (he's just as clueless as me on this). The only other thing we think it could be the magneto or the wires from it
