140cc konker timing

Okay I have a 140cc konker engine my question is how do you set the proper timing on it like the head to the piston I don't have the original flywheel so I can't line up the 2 marks on it I have a inner rotor kit installed the engine was takin apart by myself and I messed the timing up silly me I set the 2 marks on the head up and placed the piston at TDC and I'm not sure if this is correct

Well- All I can offer is this.....I have no personal knowledge of this engine.but normally crank and cam timing dots point towards each other at TDC. They have on every other engine I have worked on. ....including 4, 6, and 8 cylinder automotive engines. ......and every small engine so far....
