Does anyone have a link to a 90/92mm predator 420 head gasket? The sheet metal .010 ones.

It cannot be one for a gx390 as they have the smaller bore.

On my way home from work today, past two vehicles for sale, 1995 F250 standard cab long bed and an unknown year GMC K5 Blazer. The F250 they want $19,500 for it. The GMC K5 unknown price, just put a phone number. I don't know what's worse, people asking meth prices for older vehicles or people who don't even bother leaving a price on the vehicle, just a phone number?

The K5 was parked maybe 100 yards from the gas station in town. So while I had the pump going, I walked over to look at it. It definitely had been rattle canned over rust. Typical rusty body panels. Front bumper missing. Interior is okay from the bit I seen. It is an auto, not sure if its one of the Turbos or maybe a 700R4 or some other autobox installed.

The F250 is maybe 40 feet back from the back road highway but you can see frame surface rust and what not.

Made a better shield.. Wondering the most efficient way to get some more airflow to the engine now. Thinking small scoop on the side? Think it will be fine as is? See any issues im overlooking ?

Oh yea, textured it with bedliner and maybe it added some strength. Sprayed a little silver so it didnt look so "cheap walmart paint'd" and about 1000 coats of clear.

Im happy with this iteration for the time being.

Installed a new starter solenoid on the old LX188, because thought that maybe, it was the reason the tractor would try to start up on its own, when I reconnect the battery. LMAO nope. Still does it. Thinking the ignition switch is cinnamon toast screwed.

Might be a bit noisy. Least with the Yamaha Blaster I had, the tensioner/guide was made from polyurethane or some material like that.

The poly ones are the only ones Ive seen until this. If it doesnt dig into the metal, ruining the roller, then it has to wear out the chain, ruining that?

Had an interesting vehicle come in today. Customer wanted MOPAR splash guard installed on their 2026 Grand Cherokee. One of the complaints they were having, was when they would go 65+mph down the road, the vehicle would shimmy. So I got the splash guards installed and test drove the vehicle. Half way through the test drive, I realized, they had Keep Lane Assist off, but the vehicle has Driving Assist cruise control. Basically the vehicle will help steer and in doing so, it has to "see" where the lanes are at, stripes, and shoulder lines.

Well if you tend to drive towards the center line or shoulder, the vehicle will get itself back center, but steering against your input. Which can be seen as a shimmy. Normal function of the vehicle. This automated driving Assist crap is just a bunch of nanny state BS. When I first test drove one of these vehicles months ago for new vehicle prep, I tried this cruise control and felt like the vehicle was going to rip the steering wheel out of my hands. I knew back then, someone is going to complain about that feature or keep lane Assist, since that will do the same thing.

I hate all that new tech crap on these vehicles.

I work at the plant that builds the Grand Cherokee and Dodge Durango. We have been put on notice for extra hours. 10 hours, 7 days a week. Doesn't mean we will work that much, but they can call it during build out and launch. All they changed on the Durango is an updated dash and front and rear clip. We currently have over 80,000 new orders for new Durango. Could be a lot of hours and a grumpy me for a few months. Money is great, but I value my time more then money these days.

Its because not a whole lot has changed with the Durango. Its been a solid platform all things considered. Its been about the same since like 2011, so older techs can work on them with fewer issues. They still have the same problems but I think are not on Atlantis architecture for communication. So they are at lot easier to diag.

Helps that a Hemi is still an option. We are having issues with the updated 2L Hurricane.

Not wrong. Had a standard output 3L Hurricane with a leaky CAC. There was a small gouge in the supply pipe (aluminum). So it got a new CAC.
