Not an h pattern. The shifter turns and i believe its a 5 spd. And yes, it is a fairly small tractor.

Cool tractor! I just got back from helping my freind buy a good bike. He got a 1990 RM 250 for $450. The top end was removed by the previous owner. The guy before us blew it up and broke one of the power valves. The previous owner bought a new Wiesco Piston, Nice fresh bore and a wrist pin and a entire gasket kit and such. Good deal? I say hes going to kill himself on the bike. I know if I dont help him with the engine it will never run. Hes just started to learn to clean carbs with the help of me.

Im debating what i should do with it. Im either going to lower and race it, or just fix it up and sell it. 400 bucks sounds like a good price.

I've gone through the whole "oh ill just fix it and sell it", dont invest too much. My brother got a nice mower with a bad engine for free, it was only like 5-8 years old at the time. He bought a new engine and tried to get 400 for it (was mint conditions), he was never able to sell it.

Yeah that's cheap. They are fast bikes. Is he a beginner? Maybe too fast...

Hes a 100% total beginner to internal combustion engines alone. I told him to get something smaller that already ran. But nope me and his dad both told him to go get like a Cr125 or something but then he says "No dad I want a fast bike not a slow Cr125. His dad even offered him to buy a brand new Crf 230 but he refused!

Just let the kid find out for himself. I guarantee it will scare the sh!t out of him. Some kids think they can handle big bikes as beginners, but they haven't even experienced the power that they produce. Just tell him to practice, and take it easy. Hell, my second bike was a 490. But, i did have experience in motorcycles before i got it.

Wow, he passed up a free bike? **** i dont think i'd pass anything up thats free. Oh well, like crazycart said, let him figure out how much power that thing has, then maybe you can convince him to trade it for your 125 :sifone:

Yeah well the guy is so anoying he just wants me to come over all the time and assemble the top end. I told him he was getting himself into more work HE could handle independantly.
