It "Floats" Once the Disc is in between the Caliper shoes it can't fall completely out.

Lame! There's too much play in it. It has a lot of wiggle room when it is in the caliper. I think I will figure out a better way to mount it, so it won't wobble around.

I have the same one on my Krate. It seems you could use the Bolts in the caliper, and bolt to a different mounting bracket.
In that case it is my belief that then you remove the set screw on the Disc (not the Key) and then the Disc floats. I believe 1 of the 2 parts caliper or disc is supposed to float.

I dunno why that is just what I read on here somewhere and more than once.

Anyway. Cut off those axle hangers and put them on top.

I used a Harbor Freight universal joint to bring the steering column from horizontal to vertical.

I just need to weld down the bottom support, and the steering column will be done. Then I have to go back and weld in some small prices to cover the ends of the exposed square tube that makes the steering g column supports. https://vimeo.com/202129419

Well.... a key got stuck on the axle, which jammed a wheel on it. I proceeded to hammer, whack, and bang away until the situation got out of control.
Option 1: I can either cut the wheel off, and hope I don't ruin the axle.
Option 2: Cut the axle in half and just punch it out of the wheel.

I've never screwed something up, as bad as I've screwed up this axle! I feel defeated...

I was curious to see where this would go. I was gonna throw some gas on the fire, but decided to just watch from the sideline.

I liked the idea of it too.... the cheap u-joint had too much play, before it would actually grab the wheel and turn. Maybe an 1/16 of a turn, before it would actually turn the wheel. I changed it to a more normal set up.

It is nice having the steering wheel and a normal driving angle.

Get a couple "Split type" locking Collars for that disc brake with the Broken hex.
The original type never hold anyway.

I have some. I had the disk on the axle so I could get the brake caliper mount welded on. It was the head of a ball allen, so I think there will be enough space in there to get a little bit of an allen wrench in. That's what I get for buying the cheap set of ball allens.

I always break those ball end ones too.
Recently I had a really stuck allen screw and I welded a normal allen wrench to it...
It broke! Ooops. at least it was not a set screw though. I ended up heating the thing with a torch and using vise grips to get the allen head bolt out.
Bottom line is Allens Kinda Suck!

We may never know! This may be the last wheelbarrow Go Kart I make. While searching for hot rods last night, I discovered something called a Cycle Car (or Cart or Kart). I'm thinking about making one of those next. This is an example of one! It's pretty freaking cool!
