It is a Goodyear.... but not a Runflat.... just a sparetire( a doughnut, spacesaver, 50/50 tire ect.)

I had though of the sprotor rout, it does require to have a non greased chain so an O-ring variant, and youll need hydraulic brakes..... I didnt really want to go with these expensive components. The look is more what im after...

I have had a few interaction with the various factions of the clubs at shows and elsewhere.
Have been all plesent and respectfull....
For the most part Im just not wanting to spend too much money right now. I will in the future however take a look at the smaller shops and see what they have to offer.

Upon closer inspection of your picture I see it says "INFLATE" the bike framing was blocking part of the lettering and I saw "RUNFLAT" lol.

I reckon should an occasion arise, being in the neighborhood... ill go there to take a look.....
Kind looks cool.... BBQ sounds better...

Sad thing all those really good deals down south, taking all that back is just a pain in the butt with the customs... gotta have a receipts and eventually do they even comply with the law...... junk sometimes means jail.....

I cant bring back a Hemi Pred...cause of the laws... equally speaking... I cant bring you a Kinder surprise....... big time fines per egg..... cause of laws.....(in the case of the kinders.... really stupid laws...) but hey... gotta think of the wee children.....

I came across that yesterday on accident! I could not wait till the chance to use it on you :lolgoku:
California is also considered communist! but at least I can move, I am just spoiled by an entire life here and 300+ sunny warm days a year.
Plus family and a decent job and the shock of moving my 3 kids to a new place, new school etc.
So yeah, what can you do!

Totally with you on not spending any coin. I am right there with you on that.

If and when you peruse a bike shop, bring a cold case of beer - ask to browse their take-offs - profit!!

Clear me up on something, though - if the pads run inside of the teeth, why would it require a non-greased chain?

The 708 area code gives it away! I can have a look and report what kind of motorcycle has has stored in that van.

But the grease goes to the outside. At least here in 'Murica.

Maybe the Canuckistanis have different physics?

Then hits the top of the caliper ....gets warm...and guess what?

Which way does GRAVITY work in NA? Wiseguy....

Im not entirely sure whats involved in the whole chain mechanics of that braking system....I know they just typically recommend a sealed chain and do not lubricate it with anything.

Just a bit of an update.... I had to make brakes for my other mini chopper Called the Jimmy-Rig...

Originally, It had some mountain bike disc brake and a caliper of the same.....
Now the caliper sorta worked but needed some maintenance... after looking it up it isnt easy to maintain... and after the new motor I put in... its not going to do much.....

So I went and got another Sprocket and welded the hub on a little while ago....
Today I really wanted to getter done, so I went and did so......

I had a big piece of 3.5 angle iron X 1/4" thick 4"long. Using that as the main support to the sliding caliper bracket. I welded a cross support to the frame in which this bolts to. There was a little piece of 3/4" angle I had used as the actual cable support with the housing end tightened on, that was welded to another angle bolted to the main support.

Wired up the cable and adjusted the slack.... Adjusted the caliper... Did a final check on all bolts... Pumped up the front tire.
Dragged it out to the front, and got ready for a test run.....

Low speed was good.. definitely stopped on a dime, easier then my Square chop....
Higher speeds with a progressively faster pace brakes were very good.... Came to a screeching halt every time..... pretty fun..

Its still a bit scary in how the pegs and seat fit for me so I havent really gaver fast.... But that little 208( all stock I might add) really has some pep to it for sure.... and its actually quiet.. like sounds like a new quiet lawn mower...
I have to redo the bars as they dont have enough length for proper grips and I have to re position the foot peg as they arent back enough. Im sitting on the leading edge of the seat kinda holding on for life...
Pretty cool but a bit scary....... Definitely lighter then my bike for sure...

The Jimmy Rig... No...
I got it for my birthday a few years ago... It was some project a guy made...he must have been like 6' at least..
Originally, The seat and pegs are stretched way out...
The tractor seat made a good difference to ride and have my feet actually on the pegs.

I might be mistaken but it looks like the caliper lever is horizontal at rest and pulls up to, say, 45 degrees as the brakes are applied. You might get better braking if the arm is 45 degrees down unapplied and goes up to horizontal / zero degrees when applied.

I don't know if you can clock the caliper or whatever to achieve this, but I suspect it will give you more clamping. As I said, I might be mistaken.

EDIT: Maybe if the brake cable fixed mount was rotated back away from the vertical, this would achieve the same end.
