The next week after that i started the forks. once again i got to enthusiastic working, but i did take some pics.

I had used the steering from a scrap bike that i had, took the headset tube and steer tube from the fork and frame, made up the tripple tree plates, fork tubes. i made a couple of caps with a split pipe, to hold the top plate to the forks. this was a bit of thinking as to what was i going to do but i figured something out.

heres the head set tube and welded.

later i built a stand for the frame and then mounted the forks to the frame. i have to make a few gussets for the neck but its pretty solid.

heres me on the bike, on the welding bench to show what i was doing.

when i was last at the shop, i had made a riser for the bars. there was a bar from the junk pile with a 1" hole drilled through, i cut off a bit i needed and set up for drilling for bolts through.
i tacked the halves together with shims then centerdrilled the start of the bolt holes.

After drilling holes.. i also had drilled the relief holes for the bolts to pass through on the top part as well as the mounting bolt underneath to the top plate of the fork tree.

thats what i got so far, mostly done, except for better handle bars, throttle/grips, seat and the brakes.
oh ya i had originaly had the rear tire with the brake on the right, but that was when i was mocking up the frame i didnt want to flip it.

Nice photos!

Thanks man.... I was just going to up date on my thread... found it locked....
Now kicked wide open...

I want to update, on I finally got my kickstart working ....
A few years ago I found a Youtube vid of a guy named Tufdog at Tufdog's Place(his handle on YT), and i though it was the coolest idea on an easy convert to kick, aswell as keeping it simple...
Here's his vid...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LsyhjhWgLc

I got it mounted and almost working... Im just kinda feaking about why I cant upload my pics....(I hate phone's)

In the mean time Ill explain. Almost like in TD's vid above, I have a sprocket ratio with chain to rotate one shaft via the other.. Im using a V-belt pully to wrap the cord around and pull. I bought a cheap pitbike kick arm, with a folding foot rest.
I went for a 3:1 ratio as thats what I could buy easilly but I had a real hard time finding a sprocket that wasnt as wide as the typical weld-on hubs I was forced to buy from the princess auto...
This is kinda the jyst of it....

Im going to try to get this darn phone to work properly some how and get some pic happening here soon... sorry guys... technology.. got to love it...

I would like to see this in action on your bike. It sounds like you have nearly got it sorted out.

What size is the v-belt pulley? Im curious to see how it looks/fits/works on an actual bike. I never realized that it is not on a bike in that video, but just on a stand.

Hahaha.... I know eh...

By the time I got the phone to work... It was dark and the light washed out the detail...
I bought a 6" V-belt... I think it's an A profile belt... What ever the basic size is for pulleys...
In amongst fitting the whole mech on the bike... I found that when I attempted to start it(the motor), the cord would derail off of the pulley.
It's at a bit of an angle due to space... So I'm in the process of making a flange with a rolled edge just so it gives it a bit of lead in and has a high wall to hold it in the groove... I need to make a tool for the edge flare.
That, I did take a pic of earlier...

Ok ok... Here we go... Have pics, Will travel... Err... Sort of...

I had mounted the starter onto the jackshaft mount... And had cut off the blocks I welded to the motor plate(originally for the jackshaft)... They were in the way...

As it is there is just enough room/clearance to house everything.. I'm kinda amazed...

I also bought a cheap tach from the Amazon...
