This Brake rotor is about 7 1/2" in Diameter. I need it taken down to 6 1/2". It also appears to have tiny surface scratches on the surface, Like when a woman continues to drive after the pads are gone and the rivets trash the rotor. I wonder if it can be turned like a regular car rotor.

I don't see why not, if there's enough meat to clean it up.

Update
My Brake rotor is on a trip to an undisclosed Hillbilly location, to be shrunken down to size.
Just to make a point. It was less than 14 dollars Round trip Via USPS from San Diego to East of Texas. and that was cheaper then buying a new one and paying 1 way shipping! So pay attention to shipping when you buy parts.
Meanwhile I have a few welds to finish up on the Frame after my Awsome wife sews up a hole in my Welding glove. No new pics yet.

Got all my welding done today. Played with seat options, Keeping the Brown Gator.

What do you guys Do if anything to prevent rust, on raw metal, while under construction.
I am not ready to paint yet but the frame is rusting!

Hmm Like a Corn oil "Mazola" I wonder about spray on non stick like PAM.
I was thinking WD 40.

Is the cooking oil easily removable for Paint later on?

Corn, rapeseed what have you..
easily removable? it should be at least.. a good kitchen soap and some hot water removes most of it,
a "just to be safe" rub with some thinner or rubbing alcohol takes care of the rest ;)

I guess WD40 will work too, but it's more expensive and a viable cheap solution is a hair nicer than a viable expensive one, right? :D

I usually wipe things down with Acetone just before Painting anyway, just to remove Greasy finger prints and what not. So Grocery store brand vegetable oil it is!
Thanks.

WD40. I used to use it all the time when I owned a body shop to keep "in progress" metalwork from flash rusting. It cleans off easily when you get ready to paint too.

That's just a large picture...I don't have a problem with them..I can view the whole pic in my screen. It loads right away and only reduces my text by half. Would I prefer thumbnails, but I only complain when they are ridiculous...(like father whatever's pics that he INSISTS on just fine....I only went back because he said he was going to resize them...since he hasn't, I'm avoiding that thread like the flu.

Stay tuned. I have nit given up yet...
Just waiting for a little Cash. Kids need yearbooks and Graduation gifts and School pictures and and and....
I need to buy a steering wheel so I can figure out the Controls. Most likely hand controls, but i am considering a foot brake too.
The engine is still on hold for a bit. Depends on if I can get ahold of my engine builder. Or I will throw in a Mild Predator.
I also have plans to build a copper Fuel cell. I have a buddy that works with 5" copper pipe, but again with the copper, it seems like there is no such thing as Scrap.

Still gonna be a killer ride, Just glad we have till December.

What happened to Chrome Rhino, he had 3 or 4 builds planned.
