Jeeze...re-reading my last post....I guess I was celebrating the fourth a little more than I thought.....
I DID fall asleep in the recliner....before I put Rocky up...so she (the chicken) spent the night next to me on the futon rail next to the recliner......
What can I say?...... chicks dig me, man......

Well....dadgummit...new snake escaped and is either lose in the house or gone...You'd think it wouldn't be that hard to find a 5' snake....but they can squeeze in some very small spaces....

So the Albanian comes by this afternoon, and he's scared to go to his rent house alone...so I go with him....(I ain't skeered of nuttin)....
So we inspect the house...it's pretty clean....and empty...except there's a tub of potato salad and a 5 lb. bag of onions....and I said "DIBBS!"....
Anyway....this woman is crazy....he had the Sheriff evict her....she did not pay June's rent or July up until today....yet she is threatening him multiple ways if he doesn't give her back her $800 security deposit....and SHE knows her law....she left the place clean....so she deserves her security deposit back....
In many cases....this is true....which is why most landlords require a security deposit AND first and last month's rent....because in many instances...the security deposit cannot be used to cover back rent....crazy as it sounds...you have to give them back that money...(unless there are damages or cleaning to deduct) and you have to sue for back rent....AFTER you return the deposit....
However.....my Albanian friend already took her to court....and won a judgment of $1600....for back rent....and late fees....
So....the only place she is going trying to pursue recovery of this deposit....is jail...for failure to pay ....

OK....So this is on the edge of acceptable "rule wise" ....but I noticed something in the news lately.....coyotes are starting to attack people all of a sudden.....

Well...trying out my new Remote Smoker Thermometer....(Maverick...'Redi·Chek' smoker)....
Well...Unfortunately, it doesn't want to work inside the house...
And...it seems I haven't programmed it correctly to get an alarm on the reciever....but I still love it...a quick glance gives me all the information I need....ESPECIALLY the smoker temperature!....
Right off the bat....I hit 300+°..... so I was able to make adjustments and now I'm running between 160°-190°.....with more airflow...(a tip I picked up on a cooking show....)...(my BBQ had been a bit bitter in the past)..."
I can't wait to check out this chicken....and then move on to other meats....

LOL.....I swear Rocky doesn't weigh a pound....not worth the trouble....she's still strollin' and patrollin' her little section of paradise....It was hot today....so I gave her an afternoon treat...a homegrown tomato from the fridge....
BTW: Just FYI: It's not a good idea to eat spoiled chicken....
