sweet. You should take it for a shakedown around the neighborhood befor eyou bother taking it to the track. its bound to have some issues being a new build. hopefully nothing major

They say your muffled 11 hp tec is too loud? We fire up my dragster in the driveway often and the neibours love it. You must have some picky neibours.

I'm not bragging that I race. I was saying that most of MY neibours have no probelem with noise. Because realy your muffled go kart is no louder than a lawnmower, snowblower or Trimmer around here.

Man were you absolutely right about bugs.

1) Chain keeps snapping, dont know why....

2) I definitely did not use Loctite on any set screw.

3) somehow 2 axle keys are now missing.

4) and in full choke engine idles fine... next few choke settings engine will not idle unless gas pedal is pressed slightly. Also on full choke if i try to give it some gas....engine shuts off. But in other choke settings engine revs and runs normally...

Maybe its a Snow King thing. Im not really familiar with Snow Thrower engines. I read somewhere on this site that they can sometimes be finicky.

Wow! I haven't looked in this thread in a while. That turned out really nice! Hopefully you get those issues taken care of soon so you can get a video of it running, yes? :iagree:

Engine shouldnt run too well in fuel choke so dont worry. Try raising the idle a little bit. If axle is bolted in firm and so is the engine and chain is allihned it should never fall off. And I mean never. If your chain falls off a go kart then there is something seriously wrong.

12 bolts, steel epoxy, and a bucketload of loctite fixed it for me.

it dosent just fall off. that would be too easy.... it literally snaps. not at the master link like you would think.

Sounds like carb has a blocked jet, so it's not getting enough fuel except when it has the choke on.

No, i got the fuel problem fixed. Im using the walbro pump again. It idled fine but when the pulses got stronger it flooded the engine, thats why i couldnt give it throttle in full choke. so i went to home depot and got a bleed valve so the pump works in a weaker fashion since its not getting a full pulse.

Snaps...if you elevate the rear of the kart, and turn the wheel slowly, does chain tension remain uniform throughout the full revolution? (of the chain).

ill try that today. Yesterday i made SOME progress with the chain problem. I think its because the chain was a little bit too tight.

Heres the vid. sorry for the crappy camera work. i wasnt filming, it was a friend. i will get a better video today. Also, im sorry for the crappy audio. He put his finger over the mic hole by accident. man...actually im sorry that this is such a terrible video.

At the end of the video where i throw my hands up....guess what happened...the chain snapped again....

thats weird. how does the sprockets line up. you should be able to eyeball it without the chain on. it is possible that it snaps instead of falling off if it gets bound up in a certain way

Look's like fun driving! It seem's chain snaps when hard cornering. Is your axle shifting?

My friggin uni-hub isnt perfectly flat so it wobbles when it gets up to speed and the chain comes off.... WTF man. looks like i have to get another **** sprocket hub. Anyone got one laying around they might sell me?

Billet is alway's the answer:bannana: :drool5: Dont forget about the billet air cleaner nut AND the billet fuel cap and the Nos stickers! Might as well add in a common 6" fart can in with that.:roflol: :roflol:
