I allow "Karma" plenty of room to do her thing... so a 'deal' that I miss(talking bout CList) is just fate steppin in n telling me "naw... you dont want that one... something better will come round and itll blow that last deal outta the water!"

:iagree: I'm a big believer in karma & fate; if it's meant to happen, it will. I usually get a good feeling about a deal if it's "meant to be"

I 'believe' I waited for 3 days after seeing the green frame i bought for 75$... where else can you find a working live 3/4" axle w/ rims/hubs, mounted JShaft, a 60T and a 12T #40-#41, steering wheel, front hubs, and a beefier looking rear all for that?... and extra tubing for 'other' projects....lol so I got it(evidently).

2 weeks before I missed a racing frame for 100$...sigh, but Im happy n karma knows it.

Well, just got home from seeing both of them.

The Frankenstein mobile was out the door for $200. Not bad but needs a ton and its been sitting for around 8 months, ran with no air filter and a lot of random welding has been done on the chassis, I could care less how long it has sat for. What I'm not too fond of its running without an air filter and all the boogered up welds on the chassis. Also, the motor hangs off the back so far you have to add weight to the front or it wont steer at higher speeds. That build hasn't been thought out at all.

The blue one, his price came down to $450. To me, that's not a bad deal at all. The kart looks great, is in great shape, it started right up and sounds decent, a little loud but nothing a new header/muffler cant fix.

I'm downloading some pics now, be back in a flash.

Thanks tank, I appreciate it.
I used to live in Huntersville then Charlotte before moving to Raleigh.

Here are those pics from today. I will be making a new header for it, that'll be the first thing I do. Let me know what you guys think.

Sweet deal Tig

Is it just me or are the rear tyres too narrow for the rims?

So, did you also get the Frankenstein mobile? I'm a little confused on that. You said

The Frankenstein mobile was out the door for $200.

but, was it out the door with you?

Thanks Fabroman, I thought it was good deal to :)

They do, now that I look at it, hah.

No, he agreed on $200. I didn't get the Frankenstein though. There was just too much that I didn't like about it.

Half,
Yeah, pretty cool huh. Once I getter going I'll post a video.

Nice haul Tig. Shifter carts aren't really my style but if I did get one I think I would make it look like a Mario Cart hehe.

Can't wait to see the video.

The left one looks odd indeed.

Anyways, that's a really cool kart you got there:thumbsup:.

Personally I'll clean everything up (no repaint)
check all the nuts and bolts for rust tightness and if they're seized or not.
Check the brakes engine tires of course...
And that's basically it.

That's a slick looking vintage race kart, I think maybe another year or two and it could be a 'collectable'.

Thanks metal
There's just something about bangin gears that gets me going :)
Never mind the power to weight ratio, instant erection.

Thanks sid,
I'm pretty excited.
Those are my plans, replace what needs it and go with it for the rest. I do plan on getting some new tires though.
If it aint broke right ;)
What year or there about do you think its from?

Thanks again guys

Hard to tell, the frame looks closer to the seventies than to the eighties, the nerf bars on the other hand looks closer to the eighties.

So early to mid eighties perhaps? (just a wild guess :D)

With make and model it'd be easier to tell of course ;)

I'm just glad that its in great condition:cheers2:

Looks like I'm going to be getting it next week, this weekends not working out for either of us.

I went and looked at that Biesse today.
That is one sharp kart. It is only a roll but man, that thing is pretty advanced compared to the others I've seen. It has a lot of nice options to, never mind being in great shape.

What to do what to do, hah.

Went and made a deal for the Biesse and then he sold it on me, wtf = bastard.

The guy with the blue one got in touch with me and lowered the price $75 so, I'll be bringing the blue one home this weekend.

Don't you hate it when that happens? Although, from the sellers point of view, if a better deal comes along, whatcha gonna do?

Can't complain about that; I hope, for your sake, it's still there by the weekend...

I completely understand from a sellers point of view but, when you make an agreement, shake on it and plan a day to pick it up. I would have at least expected a text, call, pm something letting me know that someone came along with cash in hand. Instead, he texted me this long rude message, just being a complete ***.

Thankfully, I just texted him and we are set.
