okay this whole time has been only waiting for belt to arrive, now that it did i can work on it again while still waiting for chain dam shipping cost is starting to add up on the numbers will update pics soon
Regarding the belt- "Tension" on a CVT is not measured, in the traditional sense. You need to look up the Comet belt chart, and find your belt model #. It will show and exact distance from driver center to driven center. You must be within 1/8" of this measurement for your CVT to perform to its peak. If you cannot find this chart, publish your belt # here, and we will look it up!
hi
i would like to have some info about your braking systeme cause with the pic you have posted i evaluated that it weight 300-350 lbs so if you follow my advice or your planning going over 30 mph you would need at least some front disc brake.
but for the rest you have the sexiest homemade kart that i had never seen !!
aaahh i get you now,i did measureand came close to about 9 3/8 off by couple mm, belt number was 203787A,so in reference to all this should i be adjusting it to exactly 9 3/8 thanks.
thanks, can anyone tell me if chain needs a particular adjustment or how tight can it be,or is it gonna be one of those trial and error type of things any help is greatly appreciated even if you know only a little info on this is better help then none thanks guys
