Yeah tonight ill look and see if i have any bent pieces like the one i found. If you want a muffler on the end, i have a tecumseh muffler but its rusted pretty bad.

Maybe we should go to welden this weekend and see if they have a old muffler.

what was wrong with the other engine? looks like the end result is gonna be one sweet little ride!

didnt run right, no idle, and only on choke. i just got a new clone anyways so ill have that in for now.

but i got my parts for the tecumseh to fix it. i got an ignition coil, head gasket, and crankcase gasket.

the bike works as of now so ill make a vid soon...

yeah, im gonna buy some tonight!

got the brake caliper mounted, works great, exept i cant use the fancy rotor i got since it wont fit on my wheel.

throttle works too, hooked up a mountain bike twist gear shifter.

pics tonight... im gonna drive it tomorrow... and paint next weekend if i get it in time.

Right on- I was going to suggest a twist-grip- I have a few laying around ('cuz i HATE using the on my MTB's) but they look ideal for minibike throttles.

What're you using for a rotor, and is the clamping pressure decent?

the rotor i got was supposedly $40 new... but i got it used. it is a lightweight UNEX 203mm rotor.

turns out.... it doesnt match the bolts on my wheel!! aaagghh... gonna just use the stock rotor.

as of right now the caliper is mounted, it brakes real good, and the twist grip is all set up.

i might want to paint it like lime green or something... i doubt my hardware store has POR15 but if they do im going to just get the semi-gloss black starter kit.
my other option is rustoleum paints.. my hardware store has tons of it.

so on the list....
paint
foot pegs
hook up kill switch

and i took a look at my chain tensioner... i have about an hours run time and the plastic wheel is all chewed up.

im gonna see if i have any bearings laying around that happen to fit.

B.M. if you want a welder but dont have a lot of money or experience you should get this welder!

http://www.harborfreight.com/welding/mig-flux-welders/90-amp-flux-wire-welder-98871.html

it comes with everything you need to start a mask, wire, and the welder of course. If you can use a hot glue gun then you can use this welder! I actually have one so i would know haha

thats the welder i have. highly reccomend. works like a charm!

you cant find a better welder for the price.

I've been looking closely at the POR-15 stuff, but a bit rich for my blood.
As long as the prep is good, the Rustoleum/Tremclad option is pretty attractive. It's no POR, but it will do a good enough job for the money.
