Well if the crank bearings are toast, and the oil pump isnt working, i doubt oil got to the top end to lube the cam/valves/etc..so it may be messed up in there.

UHH, am I missing something? His engine sure looks like a 2 stroke to me.

My brother and I are making a gokart, and we have the same pedal you are using for your clutch I think, and I was wondering how you mounted it onto whatever you mounted it to? you show how you mounted your other pedals, but not the left one.

hey its my thread i can talk about whatever i want :)
Anyway we got the rod bearing pressed out and its completly trashed and it scorred the crank in one little spot but we think itll be ok. so sofar we just need one crank bearing the rod bearing and an oil pump. were going for decent runner here not perfection. weve got to figure out the year before we get parts but theres no serial# on the frame. i guess we can go by the engine code were gonna call kawasaki and see what happens

im finding it hard to believe the engine seized from a lack of oil since the top end looks fine. i think maby just the rod bearing failed and got seized up. the crank bearing was just butchered by the po maby they thought that was the problem. the race is a little boggered so it may have been grindy but its not hoorible and they just butchered it cus they didnt know how to get it off. that doesnt explain the busted pump though. maby they broke it disassembling it also

just asking do you have any idea where the diff that was on it came from it looked better than comets:confused:

I dont remember what model i got it from but i get all my diffs from old lawn tractors at the junk yard. I have one that i think would hold up better the case is solid machined aluminum rather than cast its a peerless. I should really get every one i see and sell them it seems like alot of people want them.

Anyhow. the cart is currently in the back of the shed because my crappy jb weld engine patch job came off. Im going to put bigger grippier tires in the back and at the same time fix the engine patch better and revise my shifter design because it seems to jam up alot. gotta get some other progects out of the way first :arf:
