IMO you should... the dingo will handle the 'speed' better due to its lower CoG. But Id make it a wide 1 seater for a better CoG.... Like I did to mine.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdKQYO0p6IU

Matter of removing the 4 bolts holding it to the plate, and the chain... "May" need another length if the sprockets are the same chain #'d.
wide 1 seater? the dingo is a one seater , the quicksilver MUCH more resembles the kart in your link and is a 2 seater. its just rickity , and the dingo is like brand freakin new and suuper solid.

so what do you think?

the dingo is FAR more solid , yet high cog ( noticeable , yet oddly comfortable ) but handles quite well.

the quicksilver is just old and has its issues whereas the dingo is literally like new

Well... all im saying is I like the design of the quicksilver... low/wide. Whether its new or old, low and wide (to me) for speed and handling is better. If you never plan on breaking 25mph... Dingo... anything faster, Quicksilver.

IMO the Dingo is a better offroad kart... so I would put loads of torque to it (meaning low topspeed) and ride up hills, where the Quicksilver would bottom out.

Besides that, ask any old school mechanic... newer isnt always 'better'. Then watch their expressions as you say the words... "fly-by-wire, fuel injection and 20"+ rims"... their reply usually is "cable, carb, and Cragars"... lol.

haha well if its that big of a difference...

I had my buddy follow me in a nice sized unused parking lot and when I decided it was too bumpy we were going around 40-45 , it definitely had more... I was really babying it lol

I'm just getting started on a couple of projects and need some guidance if you can. I want to go with Mikuni carbs for both as the engines I have came from equipment that was either at idle or operating at one speed, not what a go kart does.
One is (I think) a Manco Dingo that I have a GX390 that came out of a Dewalt generator. What size Mikuni carb would be best? 32mm?
The other is just a old school two seat kart the I have an 11hp Tecumseh off a snow blower, would a 30mm be best? I'm also probably going to need to convert the rear end to live axle as single wheel drive with that much power will never get traction.
I'm very new to carts but have built 6 cars from ground up. I really would appreciate any and all advice!

Starting 2 different threads and hijacking another to ask the same question in the space of five minutes is NOT the way to make friends or influence people here....
