Why use a modified engine?

3rd of all if the front end is off the ground from a thrust type take off theres something wrong.....REALY wrong. Jet engine is supposed to be angled downward's around 5 degrees.

Its called wind resistance...

Still, Front end should stay down. Most of the jet carts I have seen are incredibly slow.

Only jet car I have seen was a semi truck with a little wimpy motor, sounded AMAZING but it only ran like 180mph, cant remember the time.

If you are going 220 MPH on a KART(which i doubt happened) your front end is gunna be in the air.

I took a video of a jet car just down from where this guy was filming. I've seen a jetcar flip over and roll 4 times too! Luckily he is alright today. However there was a trajic accident lasy year and one of the fellow jet car driver's died. And I have a picture of him before he died. Guy in the close lane is the unfortunate one.

I might have asked this of you before (if so- oops. Old age.) but do they race a Clone Class? As in, your class is based on the B/S 5hp block, right? Do they have a class where it's just the GX-200 and derivatives? They're roughly the same cc as the B/S 5hp, and it'd be interesting to find out how they're doing. Also, I'm shocked more people don't go nuts with the Subaru Robin OHC series motors. They're more expensive, but probably comparable to Hondas in price.

...um, what was the topic of this discussion again? Artichokes? Right.... well, my Mom used to make them, but I've never tried it myself, as they give me gas and I have my family to consider... plus the neighbors can't stand the smell.... Which reminds me- I gotta get back on the DIY GoKart forum and ask which format is better? VHS or Beta?
