Some eagle eyes will notice there's no provision for chain adjustment via axle slide. Eh. Ill make a tensioner some how.

This is how you use existing part right?

I see remnants of light baby blue on the bike; it portends of things to come. It's only fitting that it's baby blue to be in good company with Piglet. 😄
Hey now. Dont give me ideas. Ive already been told " his and hers"

I was thinking a root beer or what ever I can find at wally world paint.
I might change that when the seat gets here.
I was thinking of trying to keep the tank "chrome" maybe.

The pads are essentially gripping the teeth of the sprocket? Am I seeing that right? Interesting. I do like this idea, a lot.

Hey WTR,

Another/new project...love it
...& great explanation/write up :cheers2:

Unless I'ma seein' incorrectly
...it looks like there is a provision & hardware "for chain adjustment via axle slide" (kinda reverse of how its done-on motorcycles)

But, adjusting the axle/sprocket, would affect brake pad engagement
...&/so, you would probably have to add/install some rotor adjustment provisions ;)

EZ², yes the pads are gripping the root of the teeth.
And FA there is an axle slider adjustment on the frame. on both sides even!
The rotor depth engagement is quite small though. There also a few other minor clearance issues. I haven't thought about how to make the caliper adjustment with as much travel as the axle.
So for time being, im gonna lock the axle where it fits the caliper and work from there.

Went to the store and looked at available rattle can colors.
I kinda like the Kona

The other brown that grabbed me was this
But it might be too light.

I also dig the hammered copper.

Then I ran across the fancy paints.
Fist time seeing the color change paint.

Those were the 3 they had. There was another that said apply over a black base coat. I wonder if using a different base would look different.

Anyone use these paints yet?
Opinions?

And while i was working on the brake setup I noticed the bottom was yellow at some point.

Blue cosmos over a black base. It would look awesome on a bike frame. White base would lighten the color up. Experiment there Magellan. Don’t forget to clear coat it afterwards for maximum shine and bury the flake. The other browns you picked look like varying shades of baby poop 💩.

I used that Blue Cosmos color change stuff on our go kart.. Looks pretty ok. I didnt do it perfectly so if done properly, would look really good.

It gives off a LOT of purple from certain angles.

Shouldn’t be any worse or better than any other rustoleum paint.
Pretty much.

Let me tell you, nothing I sprayed turned out that light blue color. I got dark blue, green, and deep purple.

What was used as a base? I used a black base and a TON of clear.

Well...fallas, first of all, I wasn't using Rustoleum spray can paint
...so, that was kind of an "off topic" answer :innocent:

That "rattle can" color changing paint was/is "extra" expensive :furious2:

So, after some research
...I "opted" to use/mixed up some regular 'ol automotive type clear
...& put some "Magic Dust" in it :sifone:
