Here you are. Please note that first pic shows a carb that I did not use. Last pic is different model engine but is basically the same arrangement.

HOLY COW! Leave this thread for a few days, and look what happens!.....
Ironman has started his own Lawnboy Ranch, and Russ has started building customs for "Lawnboy County Choppers"!
...please don't forget about us little people!

Actually, I'm glad to see this trend. The 2 strokes are just too perfect for our craft to be ignored.

I know I keep saying this, but I really need to jump on getting that LawnBoy going! Maybe I'll get it out this weekend and do a little cleanup on it. I'll try to take pics of the dismantling process and what the parts look like. I need to get me in on some of this LawnBoy action!

Hmmm... I wonder what LawnBoy would look like if it was a cartoon character...

Just what I've been trying to tell you guyz since I first logged in way back in November. Did anybody listen? Nooooo....and now Ironman and Russ2251 (aka Reed Valve Ranger) have sucked up the entire planets' inventory of Lawn-Boys. Now pay the price for your lack of vision (lightening bolts flying from tips of fingers). Consider yourselves vertically shafted. Take that my Otto Cycled friends!!!:devil2::roflol::sifone:

WHOA WHOA WHOA!!!! I never said anything bad about 2-cycles! I had one before I ever owned a 4 stroke. I loved the engine I just didn't have any of the tools of the knowledge at the time to do anything useful with it. It was a homelite weed whacker engine that I got for like $10. Second engine I ever played with, first was a 2 cycle R/C car nitro engine. Sometimes I would just start the 2 cycle homelite to listen to it run. I jumped right on the opportunity to buy that LawnBoy when I saw it. I've tried to look for more LawnBoys around here but I haven't found any.

Can I join your club now and not be vertically shafted?:Angel_anim:

And there it sits...on garage floor in pieces. It's sacrilegious to the very core.
I would like to see pics of progress on a daily basis.:toetap05:
Can you meet the challenge?

I found a lawnboy 2 cycle mower in the garbage about a month ago and I opened up the plastic carb and there was like this foul smelling green "engine puke" in the carb bowl. I cleaned the carb as best as I could. Then it wouldntr start. Then I got P!@#$# at it and put ir back in the garbage:worried2: Dont hate me forever now russ.

Whoa again! It's not sitting on the floor! There you go making assumptions! It's IN a box that's on the floor, mind you! Besides, I didn't just take it off the deck and not do anything else. I did order the Tillotson carbs. I still need to do something about the air filter though. I don't have a solution for that yet. I also went out and bought the fitting that will go to the pump in the carb.

I'm not trying to rush into it because it's the only engine of it's type I have. I want to take the time to get it done correctly. Who knows if I'll ever get the chance to get another one.

You should be yelling at Jr. here with his comment about throwing a lawnboy away! :roflol:

How can I yell at Jr?
Someday, perhaps soon, he will regret the error of his ways.
Maybe that's why his engine blew.
Destroying a Lawn-Boy has been known to bring on some really bad karma.:ack2::roflol:

No I threw out the lawnboy after the engine blow. But the lawnboy would run on starter fluid but not the carb. I think the plastic s@#$ carb is ruined. And plus the lawnmower didnt go to a landfill, some person picked it up off the curb in. It was gone in about 1 hour.

Will trade 196cc 6.5hp Honda GX-200 clone (Lifan) for Lawn-Boy DuraForce engine.
Clone is brand new and was only run once for QC evaluation and has no issues. I have no need for this engine and has to go.
Lawn-Boy (engine only) can be any year DuraForce model 'E'. Must be a running engine but will consider non running if in good/excellent mechanical condition (unintended oxymoron).
This offer is now officially closed.

Dang! The offer is closed!?! Too bad. I just found a project behind one of the machine shops in Chandler. Someone grafted two DuraForce motors side by side (twin with twin carbs) and converted it to horizontal. He sold it to me for $40 because it turns out it was too powerful and loud for his golf cart. I would much rather have a clone motor and....

...my nose is growing from this ridiculous lie! (Already big enough!)
