I honestly had no idea there were any rotary-powered sleds. The only common application I knew about was the Mazdas.

A little trivia: Dr Wankel was working for Ford when he first developed his engine. The 6 rotor prototype was designed to be fitted to the '65 Mustang but was scrapped because there were too many issues & the design was licenced to Mazda who still use it to this day...

Thank you I tried to post the video but I am not computer savvy enough !

iirc, you just go down below the video on youtube and there's a "share" link you can copy/paste into the forum here. Either that, or you just copy/paste the link directly into the forum and it posts it like above.

I LOVE the glance at the parked cop car at 1:28 of the second vid! That thing REALLY sounds wicked when you finally wind it out later in the video!

Yeah I kinda drive slow through the neighborhood that cop is cool he works in another city and he don't bother any one about riding bikes or quads around his house,I am going up a hill in the video when I get on it I have not done any port work to that engine but I could and I could get some more power out of it but it would shorten its life it runs pretty good with the Mikuni on it and I weigh 240lbs so its fun it will smoke the tires in a drift on asphalt I have a more powerful wankels than that old 303 that are ready for installation if you find one of those old engines I can machine you an adapter for the crank to install a clutch on them they are very cool engines I have always been interested in them.

first one i,ve even seen for sale. popped up in my go kart search

Good find but one must know if it has good compression because the seals for them are hard to find I just today bought a set of Apex seals and springs for my 303 on ebay not that it needs it now but maybe in the future. That 295 would out do a 303 that one is a 1975.

Well now's the time to snag a sled engine if you want one. Should be able to find a decent engine for under $200. I just sold my 488 fan cooled for 250 and there was no way that I was going to get any more for it.
