@brslk thanks
let me explain.
i made this post because i wanted to know how to vent the flux core from my basement. some people who answered my actual questions helped me alot and i was able to buy the appropriate system that will do the job. i never asked anything about if it was safe to be welding there. of course, some people keep telling me news headlines and what life will be like after im dead. excuse me, im just welding. so many people do not understand. i tried to even make a video proving that im not being unsafe in any way. my welder isnt a high powered machine, its a 90 amp flux wire feed welder that i usually weld on 55amps. i know it still makes smoke, but that is vented out my 1500 CFM blower into my backyard. i bought a fire extinguisher too. i guess that isnt enough. so now apparently i need to cover the walls with sheetmetal? give me a break. im not moving my work space into a bombshelter. honestly, if i had any chance in killing myself, i wouldnt be stupid enough to do something that life threatening. i already said once that if the discussion was going to continue on about any of this "your going to die" nonsense then dont post at all. its just getting annoying and rude now. i get what all of you are trying to say, but you arent even listening to me. you think ill be having fun throwing my HF welder into a snowpile and welding motor mounts, do you? or i could be welding motor mounts in a more permanent place. also, it takes forever to set up, and by the time im ready to weld its dark out because i only have about 3 hours of sunlight after school, minus homework. this winter i want to be working on a bunch of small projects, not setting up a temporary workspace in a snowpile. besides, im 14. ill be an adult soon enough and have my own garage to work in. in the mean time, i got a half decade to go. im going to take a lot of time organizing my workplace and making sure i have the full potential of the blower, then i can do some quick welds. i have good reason that my basement is suitable for running a few beads. get this, im not working in a factory welding 24/7. this is OCCASIONAL. and no, not occasional death.
thanks...
